Petro Evstaf'evic Stojan (, also known by the pseudonyms Ribaulb, Radovich and Šulerc) (June 22, 1884 in Izmail, Bessarabia — May 3, 1961 in Nice) was a Russian esperantist, bibliographer and lexicographer and a member of the Esperanto Language Committee (''Lingva Komitato'') from 1914. Life and work Stojan studied physics and mathematics at the Richelieu Lyceum (today's Odesa University) in Odesa and in Sankt Petersburg and from 1906 to 1907 in Paris. From 1919 to 1922, he was a high school teacher in Serbia. From 1925, he worked at the Universal Esperanto Association in Geneva at its biggest work, the ''Bibliography of the International Language'' (''Bibliografio de Internacia Lingvo'') which was published in 1929. Izmail (, ; ; , or ; ) is a List of cities in Ukraine, city and List of hromadas of Ukraine, municipality on the Danube river in Odesa Oblast in south-western Ukraine. It serves as the administrative center of Izmail Raion, one of seven districts of Odesa Oblast, and is the only locality which constitutes Izmail urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. In Russian historiography, Izmail is associated with the 18th century Siege of Izmail, storming of the Ottoman fortress of Izmail by Russian general Alexander Suvorov. It was the capital of Izmail Oblast, but it is no longer, as Izmail Oblast joined Odesa Oblast in 1954. It is the largest Ukrainian port in the Danube Delta, on its Chilia branch. It is also the largest city of the Ukrainian Budjak area. As such, Izmail is a center of the food processing industry and a popular regional tourist destination.
