''Ungen'' (The Child) is a Norwegian film musical and drama film from 1974 directed by Barthold Halle. The main roles are played by Britt Langlie, Bjørn Skagestad, Kirsti Kolstad, and Sølvi Wang. The film is loosely based on Oskar Braaten's play ''Ungen: folkeliv i fire akter'' (The Child: Everyday Life in Four Acts) from 1911, which is about the young unmarried and pregnant factory worker Milja. The film can be characterized as a musical drama with certain comedic elements. Plot The plot is set in Kristiania at the end of the 19th century. The young factory worker Milja (Britt Langlie) ends up unmarried and pregnant and is abandoned by Julius (Bjørn Skagestad) in favor of the beautiful but unreliable Petrina (Kirsti Kolstad). Julius allows himself to be bewitched by the unreliable girl, who leads him to drink and steal. Milja soon sits alone with her shame and her unplanned child. Barthold Halle
Barthold Johan Halle (born 22 May 1925) is a Norwegian stage instructor and theatre director. He worked for Studioteatret from 1947, was stage instructor at Rogaland Teater from 1949 to 1952, and joined Folketeatret from 1952 to 1959. Aasta Voss (October 26, 1914 – May 29, 1994) was a Norwegian actress."Dødsfall" (in Norwegian). Anita Rummelhoff (April 8, 1935 – June 28, 1997) was a Norwegian actress. Rummelhoff was born in Oslo. She made her debut in 1956 at the Norwegian Theater and was then engaged with the National Theatre in Oslo, National Traveling Theater, and Rogaland Theater, and then from 1965 onward once more with the Norwegian Theater. Frimann Falck Clausen
Frimann Falck Clausen (February 15, 1921 – March 23, 1983) was a Norwegian actor. He played the role of the truck owner Hjul in the children's series ''Jul i Skomakergata'' in 1979 and the wealthy farmer Torsøien in the Norwegian film comedy '' Bør Børson Jr.'' and its sequel. Clausen started his acting career at the Frater Theater in Drammen, where he took part in both revues and theater productions. Later he moved to Oslo, where he performed at several theaters, among them the Norwegian Theater, Oslo New Theater, and National Theatre. He also took part in several productions of NRK's Television Theater. In 1958, Clausen married the actress Anne-Lise Tangstad. Clausen died in 1983. He was cremated at the Vestre crematorium in Oslo and buried in Bragernes cemetery in Drammen. She is known for her roles as Queen Krystalis in the television series '' Brødrene Dal og spectralsteinene'' and as Tupsy Larang in the crime miniseries '' Solospill'' with Helmer & Sigurdson. Rolv Helge Wesenlund (17 September 1936 – 18 August 2013) was a Norwegian comedian, singer, clarinetist, writer and actor. ''Dagsavisen'' is a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. The former party organ of the Norwegian Labour Party, the ties loosened over time from 1975 to 1999. It has borne several names, and was called ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1923 to 1997. Eirik Hoff Lysholm is editor-in-chief. The newspaper depends on economic support from the Norwegian Government.
