"Unexpected" is a song by German recording artist Sandy. It was written by Pete Martin, Steve Lee, and Tina Harris, and recorded for her debut solo album, '' Unexpected'' (2004), while production was helmed by the former. A remix version of the uptempo song, featuring additional vocals from German rapper Manuell and produced by Mark Tabak, Ismail Boulaghmal, and Jan van der Toorn for 3Kings Productions, was released as the album's third and final single in February 2005. Sandy Mölling
Sandy Mölling (born 27 April 1981) is a German singer and television personality. She rose to fame as one of the members of the girl group No Angels, which were formed in 2000 on the German television talent show ''Popstars'', becoming one of the best-selling girl groups of European origin of all time. During their hiatus, Mölling released a solo album, '' Unexpected'' (2004), which produced the top ten singles " Unnatural Blonde" and " Tell Me", and became a judge on the fourth season of ''Popstars''. Steve Lee (songwriter)
Steve Lee is an Ivor Novello nominated English songwriter and musician. He has written for artists worldwide and had numerous international hits. In the mid-1980s, as a lead vocalist, he worked on an original project with Anne Dudley (Art of Noise) but failed to secure a record deal. In 1985, as a sax player, he toured with the band B-Movie. He then fronted the band Krew, comprising mainly Nik Kershaw's band, and released the single "Paper Heroes" on WEA Records in April 1986. The band was short-lived, however, and from there he toured with The Duel as a sax player, supporting 5 Star on their British tour of 1987. In 1988, Lee signed to IRS Records with Gary Miller as Big Smile and released one single, "Crocodile Tears", after which they split. Tina Harris is a Maryland-born singer best known for being a member of Sweetbox. Career Early life Tina Harris was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and due to her military father being stationed there, the whole family moved to Frankfurt, West Germany, when she was four and grew up there. Tina Harris's start in the music industry came when her cousin, rapper Turbo B of the music group Snap! chose Harris's sister Jackie to mime on the videoclip and on promotional appearances to the female parts of their hit " The Power". Bundesvision Song Contest 2005
The Bundesvision Song Contest 2005 was the first edition of the annual Bundesvision Song Contest musical event. The contest was held on 12 February 2005 at the König Pilsener Arena in Oberhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The contest was hosted by Stefan Raab, Annette Frier, and Oliver Pocher in the green room. It was the first Germany-wide music competition in this format. The winner of the Bundesvision Song Contest 2005 was alternative pop band Juli with the song " Geile Zeit", representing Hessen. In second place were Fettes Brot representing Schleswig-Holstein, and third place to Sido with representing Berlin. 14 of the 16 states awarded themselves the maximum of 12 points, with North Rhine-Westphalia, and Rhineland-Palatinate, awarding themselves 10 points each.
