Under Stjernerne På Himlen
"Under stjernerne på himlen" (; "Under the stars of the sky") was the entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1993, performed in Danish by the Tommy Seebach Band. Seebach wrote the song as a lullaby to his daughter, and his family encouraged him to suggest it as a finalist for the Danish final in 1993, where it won. At the Eurovision Song Contest, the song was performed fifth on the night, following 's Annie Cotton with "Moi, tout simplement" and preceding 's Katerina Garbi with " Ellada, Hora Tou Fotos". At the close of voting, it had received 9 points, placing 22nd in a field of 25. The disappointing result at this contest, coupled with the expansion of the contest following the breakup of Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union, meant that Denmark was relegated from competing in the 1994 contest, causing them to miss a finale for the first time since 1977. Tommy Seebach
Tommy Seebach (14 September 1949 – 31 March 2003), born Tommy Seebach Mortensen in Copenhagen, Denmark, was a popular Danish singer, composer, organist, pianist and producer. He is best known as front man of Sir Henry and his Butlers and for numerous contributions to the Danish qualifier for the Eurovision Song Contest, the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, which he won three times. He was the father of songwriter/producer Nicolai Seebach and singer/songwriter/producer Rasmus Seebach. Biography Musical beginnings Seebach began his musical career as an organist in his own group "The Colours" at age 14. In the following years he played in many pop and beat groups. Rasmus Seebach
Rasmus Seebach (; born 28 March 1980) is a Danish singer-songwriter and record producer who had his solo-debut with the Danish-language single "Engel" ( en, "Angel") in April 2009. Seebach has written and produced songs for Danish and international artists since the late 1990s. Together with his brother, Nicolai Seebach, he runs the production company Top Notch Music. The two wrote the music for the charity song "Hvor små vi er" ( en, "How small we are") for the victims of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami. His self-titled debut album consists of 12 tracks and was released on 28 September 2009, containing among others the singles "Engel" and "Glad igen" ( en, "Happy again"). ''I mine øjne'' (''In my eyes'') is a Danish song by the singer and songwriter Rasmus Seebach from the singer's second album ''Mer' end kærlighed''. The single was released on 22 August 2011 with the ArtPeople label as an advance single of the album. Context "I mine øjne" is about Rasmus Seebach's love for his family. It uses the melody in the chorus from Nicolai Kielstrup's song "Vokseværk" (meaning "growing pains" in Danish) which was a winning song for Kielstrup in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, as Seebach says the melody of the song co-written by him and others had affected him.
