Uma Mendez Gonzalez (born 7 September 2004) is a Spanish rhythmic gymnast, member of the national group. Career Junior Uma was part of the Spanish junior group that competed at both the 2019 European where she was 7th in teams and in the All-Around, 4th with 5 ribbons and 7th with 5 hoops, and World Championships ending 7th in teams, 5th in the All-Around and with 5 hoops, 4th with 5 ribbons Senior In 2021 Mendez participated in the World Championships along Inés Bergues, Ana Gayán, Valeria Márquez, Patricia Pérez and Mireia Martínez, finishing 12th in the All-Around and 5th in the 3 hoops + 4 clubs' final. In October 2022 she was confirmed into the national team, taking part in the team presentation for the next season. Teresa Gorospe
Teresa Gorospe (born 28 April 2005) is a retired Spanish rhythmic gymnast. Personal life Teresa took up rhythmic gymnastics at age six in the first grade of primary school after seeing a friend do it. During summer she trains five hours every day, from autumn to spring she trains from 4 p.m until 8:30 p.m. Gorospe said she can now combine sport very well with studies, as gymnastics helps her to be more disciplined and to make better use of her time. In her free time she either studies or spend time with friends. Her favourite book and movie are Malory Towers by Enid Blyton and The Parent Trap by David Swift. Teresa says her best quality is that she's a hard worker, her idol is Russian gymnast Dina Averina who's a four time world champion. Alba Bautista (born 13 July 2002) is a Spanish rhythmic gymnast. She won a bronze medal at the 2022 World Championships in the team category. Personal life Bautista took up the sport at age six in Teruel. She was named the 2019 Female Athlete of the Year in Teruel, Spain, the ceremony took place in 2021. Ana Arnau (born 20 September 2005) is a Spanish rhythmic gymnast. She was the bronze All-Around and 5 hoops medalist at the 2022 World Championships. Career Junior Arnau was part of the Spanish junior group that competed at both the 2019 European and World Championships, finishing 7th in Baku and 5th in Moscow. Senior Ana debuted with senior group in 2022 at the World Cup in Sofia, they were 5th in the All-Around and 5 hoops and 6th with 3 ribbons + 2 balls. Salma Solaun
Salma Solaun (born March 2 2005) is a Spanish rhythmic gymnast who competed at the 2019 Junior World Rhythmic Gymnastic championships, where she won a bronze medal. She also won a silver medal at the 2022 European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, in the 3 ribbons + 2 balls final. Personal life Solaun took up gymnastics at age three because she was restless, so her parents signed her up for a rhythmic gymnastics class. She also tried swimming and skating, but in the end she chose rhythmic gymnastics. Salma now says that "rhythmic gymnastics is part of my life. I could not see myself without it".
