Alkersum
Alkersum ( Fering: ''Aalkersem'', ) is a municipality in the Nordfriesland district, in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany. Geography Alkersum is situated in the center of the island in the geestland of Föhr. History First settlements in the area occurred in the Iron Age. The ''Kieler Nachrichten'' (literally "Kiel News") or ''KN'' is the only German language, German-language newspaper published in Kiel, Germany. It is published by "Kieler Zeitung Verlags und Druckerei KG-GmbH & Co.", a subdivision of Axel Springer AG which owns 24.5 percent of the company. The newspaper's office is located at Asmus-Bremer-Platz between Holstenstraße and the Kiel city hall. The ''KN'' was first published on 3 April 1946, with the permission of the United Kingdom, British in Allied Occupation Zones in Germany, occupied Germany after World War II. Sophus Hansen
Sophus Peter Hansen (16 November 1889 – 19 February 1962) was a Danish amateur football (soccer) player and referee. He won a silver medal with the Denmark national team at the 1912 Summer Olympics. He also participated with the Danish team at the 1920 Summer Olympics. Born in Copenhagen, he played his entire career as a goalkeeper for local club Boldklubben Frem. He made his national team debut in 1911 and was the first player to reach 25 caps for the Denmark national team. He appeared in a record-setting 31 Demark national team games before ending his national team career in 1920. The record was broken by Poul "Tist" Nielsen in October 1923. Great Britain. Föhr
Föhr (; ''Fering'' North Frisian: ''Feer''; ) is one of the North Frisian Islands on the German coast of the North Sea. It is part of the Nordfriesland district in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein. Föhr is the second-largest North Sea island of Germany and a popular destination for tourists. A town and eleven distinct municipalities are located on the island. The climate is oceanic with moderate winters and relatively cool summers. Being a settlement area already in Neolithic times, Föhr had been part of mainland North Frisia until 1362. Then the coastline was destroyed by a heavy storm flood known as Saint Marcellus's flood (, 'Great Drowning of Men') and several islands were formed, Föhr among them. The Museum Kunst der Westküste (Museum of West Coast Art) is a non-profit foundation, located in Alkersum on the north Frisian island, Föhr. Husum
Husum (, ) is the capital of the ''Kreis'' (district) Nordfriesland in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The town was the birthplace of the novelist Theodor Storm, who coined the epithet "the grey town by the sea". It is also the home of the annual international piano festival ''Raritäten der Klaviermusik'' (Rarities of Piano Music) founded in 1986. History Husum was first mentioned as ''Husembro'' in 1252, when king Abel was murdered. Like most towns on the North Sea, Husum was strongly influenced by storm tides. In 1362 a disastrous storm tide, the " Grote Mandrenke" flooded the town and carved out the inland harbour. Before this date Husum was not situated directly on the coast. The people of the city took advantage of this opportunity and built a marketplace, which led to a great economic upturn.
