Ulf Lundin
Ulf Lundin (born in Alingsås, 1965) is a Swedish artist who lives and works in Stockholm. Ulf Lundin studied at the School of Photography at Gothenburg University. He has had many solo exhibitions internationally including shows at Magnus Karlsson Gallery (2008), Thessalonica Center, Greece (2000) and at the Photographers' Gallery, London (1998). His video works have been shown widely including screenings at Lebanese American University, Lebanon (2005), 291, London (2003), Museum of Modern Art, Ljubljana, Slovenia (1999). Alingsås
Alingsås () is a locality and the seat of Alingsås Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 24,482 inhabitants in 2010. Geography Geographically the city is situated by the outlet of the small rivulet Säveån into lake Mjörn. Transportation links are provided by the western main line railway (''Västra stambanan'') between Stockholm and Gothenburg, and by motorway through the European route E20. The Photographers' Gallery was founded in London by Sue Davies opening on 14 January 1971, as the first public gallery in the United Kingdom devoted solely to photography. 291 is the commonly known name for an internationally famous art gallery that was located in Midtown Manhattan at 291 Fifth Avenue in New York City from 1905 to 1917. Originally called the "Little Galleries of the Photo-Secession", the gallery was established and managed by photographer Alfred Stieglitz. The gallery is recognized for two achievements: First, its exhibitions helped bring art photography to the same stature in America as painting and sculpture. Tensta konsthall is a center for contemporary art in the Stockholm suburb of Tensta, northwest of the city center.
