Claudia Uhle
Claudia Uhle (born 15 March 1976) is a German singer, known for being a member of X-Perience. Early life Uhle was born in Johannisthal in East Berlin. She first learned the flute and the piano before practicing singing. She attended the Georg-Friedrich-Händel-Oberschule in Berlin, a special music school. During school she sang in various choirs, as a teenager she sang at the Berlin State Opera. Career In 1995, Uhle joined the pop-style group X-Perience, in which her brother Matthias was already evolving. The band found success in 1996 with the song A Neverending Dream. In 2007, Claudia left the band to better focus on her solo project, ''Angelzoom''. In 2020, Uhle got back together with X-Perience. George Uhle
George Ernest Uhle (September 18, 1898 – February 26, 1985) was a Major League Baseball pitcher. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he began his playing career with his hometown Cleveland Indians. After ten seasons, during which time he led the American League in wins, innings pitched, complete games, shutouts, and games started, he was traded in 1928 to the Detroit Tigers for Jackie Tavener and Ken Holloway. He went on to play with the New York Giants, New York Yankees, and again with the Indians. When his career ended in 1936, he had won 200 games. His lifetime batting average of .289 (393-for-1360) is still a record for a pitcher (not playing at any other position) On May 25, 1929, the Detroit Tigers defeated the Chicago White Sox 6–5 in 21 innings. Uhle, who was the winning pitcher, pitched twenty innings to earn his eighth win of the season with no losses. The losing pitcher, Ted Lyons, pitched all 21 innings for Chicago. Johann Paul Uhle
Johann Paul Uhle (17 April 1827 – 4 November 1861) was a German physician and pathologist born in Nossen, in the Kingdom of Saxony. He died of tuberculosis in Jena at the age of 34. In 1852 he received his medical doctorate at the University of Leipzig. He was an assistant at St. George's Hospital at Leipzig, and in 1859 became a professor at Dorpat. In 1860 he relocated to Jena as a professor of special pathology and director of the medical clinic. With Ernst Leberecht Wagner (1829-1888), Uhle was co-author of an influential textbook of general pathology titled "''Handbuch der allgemeinen Pathologie''". It was published in seven editions, and was translated into English, French, Polish and Greek. Max Uhle
Friedrich Max Uhle (25 March 1856 – 11 May 1944) was a German archaeologist, whose work in Peru, Chile, Ecuador and Bolivia at the turn of the Twentieth Century had a significant impact on the practice of archaeology of South America. Biography Uhle was born in Dresden, Germany on 25 March 1856 and received his Ph.D. in 1880 from the University of Leipzig. He married Charlotte Grosse from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he worked at the University of Pennsylvania for several years. Trained as a philologist, Uhle became interested in Peru while a curator at Dresden Museum. In 1888, a close friend, Alphons Stübel, who had recently published an article on the history of Peruvian archaeology, suggested Uhle concentrate his studies on that region. He first traveled to South America in 1892 to initiate research in Argentina and Bolivia for the Konigliches Museum fur Völkerkunde in Berlin, Germany. Wolfgang Uhle
Wolfgang Uhle (1512 in Elterlein – 7 April 1594, in Breitenbrunn) was a German Lutheran priest, known as "the Plague Pastor of Annaberg" (''Pestpfarrer von Annaberg''). Life Wolfgang Uhle was born in 1512 in Elterlein. He was brought up as the son of a burgher in the little town of Elterlein. After finishing school he studied theology at Leipzig and came in contact with the doctrines of the Reformation. In 1542 he was ordained in Wittenberg and took over the deacon's post in Neustädtel (Schneeberg). Thereafter he was the Evangelical pastor in Lauterbach, Stollberg and Oberlungwitz. In 1558 he became pastor in Clausnitz, where his family bought an estate in 1561. Legend has it that, during this time, a dispute arose between Uhle and the Clausnitz's corrupt judge, ''Ortsrichter'' Georg Biber, which escalated in 1563.
