Uganda Revenue Authority
The Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) is a government revenue collection agency established by the Parliament of Uganda. Operating under the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, the URA is responsible for enforcing, assessing, collecting, and accounting for the various taxes imposed in Uganda. Location URA's headquarters is located in a 22-storey skyscraper, known as Uganda Revenue Authority House (URA Tower), located at Plot M 193/4 Kinnawataka Road, Nakawa Industrial Area, in the Nakawa Division of the city of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city. Government Of Uganda
Uganda is a presidential republic in which the President of Uganda is the head of state and the prime minister is the head of government business. There is a multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the government. Legislative power is given to both the government and the National Assembly. The system is based on a democratic parliamentary system with equal rights for all citizens over 18 years of age. Political culture In a measure ostensibly designed to reduce sectarian violence, political parties were restricted in their activities from 1986. President Of Uganda
The president of the Republic of Uganda is the head of state and the head of government of Uganda. The president leads the executive branch of the government of Uganda and is the commander-in-chief of the Uganda People's Defence Force. The incumbent Yoweri Museveni came to power in 1986 and is the longest serving president of Uganda, ahead of Idi Amin who ruled from 1971 to 1979. Bobi Wine has not conceded the 2021 election and claims his victory is disputed for the 2021 Ugandan general election. Patience Tumusiime Rubagumya
Patience Emily Tumusiime Rubagumya, (née Patience Tumusiime), is a Ugandan lawyer who was appointed as a judge to the High Court of Uganda in July 2023. Her first deployment on the bench was to the Commercial Division of the High Court. Before that, from November 2022 until July 2023 she served as the Corporation Secretary and Head of Legal Affairs at Uganda Airlines, the country's national carrier. Before that, from February 2015 until November 2022, she was the Commissioner for Legal Services and Board Affairs at Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Uganda's revenue collection agency.
