Kampala
Kampala (, ) is the capital and largest city of Uganda. The city proper has a population of 1,680,000 and is divided into the five political divisions of Kampala Central Division, Kawempe Division, Makindye Division, Nakawa Division, and Rubaga Division. Kampala's metropolitan area consists of the city proper and the neighboring Wakiso District, Mukono District, Mpigi District, Buikwe District and Luweero District. Richard Posnett
Sir Richard Neil Posnett (19 July 1919 – 11 May 2009) was a British colonial administrator who served as Governor of Belize (from 1972 to 1976) and Governor of Bermuda (from 1981 to 1983). He was also briefly Commissioner of Anguilla (in 1969) and High Commissioner of the United Kingdom to Uganda (in 1979). Francis Nyangweso
Francis Were Nyangweso (29 September 1939 – 15 February 2011) was a Ugandan boxer. He competed in the men's light middleweight event at the 1960 Summer Olympics. He later went on to work in sports administration in Uganda, as well as becoming a general in the Ugandan Army, before being caught up in a bribery scandal at the 2000 Summer Olympics. Biography Nyangweso was born in Busia, Uganda in 1939. He was the captain of Uganda's national boxing team from 1955 to 1962. At the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Nyangweso competed in the men's light middleweight event. He lost in the second round of the competition to Wilbert McClure of the United States, with McClure going on to win the gold medal. Despite his defeat at the Olympics, Nyangweso won the gold medal at the Hapoel Games in 1961, and a bronze medal at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. William Frederick Blick
William Frederick Blick (born 17 October 1974) is a Ugandan engineer who has served as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 2018. Education Blick attended the Greenwich School of Business Management Center in Great Britain in 1994 and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Hull in 1998. He also holds an Executive Masters in Sports Organization Management from the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium, which he received in 2014. Career Blick has been the Director of Speedway Quickfix Engineering since 2005. In 2013, he became board advisor of Gems Cambridge International School Uganda. He has been a lecturer and motivational speaker since 2017, as well as a sports consultant. Uganda first participated at the Olympic Games in 1956, and has sent athletes to compete in every Summer Olympic Games since then, except for the boycotted 1976 Summer Olympics.
