Chiang Mai (, from th, เชียงใหม่ , nod, , เจียงใหม่ ), sometimes written as Chiengmai or Chiangmai, is the largest city in northern Thailand, the capital of Chiang Mai province and the second largest city in Thailand. Chawalit Plaphol
Chawalit Plaphol (born 30 August 1974) is a Thai golfer. He took up golf at the age of twelve and won team and individual gold medals for Thailand at the 1995 South East Asian Games. He turned professional in 1996 and has been a regular competitor on the Asian Tour since that year. He has won two Asian Tour events and in 2005 he achieved a career best order of merit placing of seventh. He also plays on the Japan Golf Tour, on which he was victorious in the 2004 ANA Open. He represented Thailand in the 2000 WGC-World Cup alongside his cousin Thammanoon Sriroj. 1995 World Cup Of Golf
The 1995 World Cup of Golf took place 9–12 November at the Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangdong, China. It was the 41st World Cup. The tournament was a 72-hole stroke play team event with each team consisting of two players from a country. The combined score of each team determined the team results. Individuals also competed for the International Trophy. The prize money totaled $1,500,000 with $400,000 going to the winning pair and $100,000 to the top individual. World Cup (men's Golf)
The World Cup of Golf is a men's golf tournament contested by teams of two representing their country. Only one team is allowed from each country. The players are selected on the basis of the Official World Golf Ranking, although not all of the first choice players choose to compete. The equivalent event for women was the Women's World Cup of Golf, played from 2005 to 2008.
