Ubay Airport
Ubay Airport ( ceb, Tugpahanan sa Ubay, fil, Paliparan ng Ubay) (, formerly RPBY) is an airport serving the general area of Ubay, located in the province of Bohol in the Philippines. The airport has no scheduled service, nor any facilities. It is one of two airports in Bohol, the other being Bohol–Panglao International Airport in the western half of the province. The airport is classified as a community airport by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, an attached agency of the Department of Transportation that is responsible for the operations of not only this airport but also of all other airports in the Philippines except the major international airports. The airport was originally built by the Americans before World War II, used during the war, and since then by light planes only. DAFIF () or the ''Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File'' is a comprehensive database of up-to-date aeronautical data, including information on airports, airways, airspaces, navigation data, and other facts relevant to flying in the entire world, managed by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) of the United States. Withdrawal of public access DAFIF was publicly available until October 2006 through the Internet; however, it was closed to public access because "increased numbers of foreign source providers are claiming intellectual property rights or are forewarning NGA that they intend to copyright their source". Currently, only federal and state government agencies, authorized government contractors, and Department of Defense customers are able to access the DAFIF data. Bohol–Panglao International Airport ( ceb, Tugpahanang Pangkalibutanon sa Bohol–Panglao; fil, Paliparang Pandaigdig ng Bohol–Panglao; ), also known as New Bohol International Airport, is an international airport on Panglao Island in the province of Bohol, Philippines. The airport opened on November 28, 2018 after decades of planning and three years of construction, replacing Tagbilaran Airport to support Bohol's increased passenger traffic due to tourism. Erico Aumentado
Erico Boyles Aumentado (May 18, 1940 – December 25, 2012) was a former governor, vice governor, and senior provincial board member of Bohol, and congressman and deputy speaker of the Philippine House of Representatives. He is the first governor of Bohol who served for three consecutive terms (2001-2010). Early life and education Erico B. Aumentado was born in Fatima, Ubay, Bohol on May 18, 1940. He finished his elementary education at Ubay Central Elementary School and finished his high school at Holy Child Academy in Ubay, Bohol both as class valedictorian. Granted with full scholarship, he completed his Pre-law A.B. at the Rafael Palma College (now University of Bohol) and graduated magna cum laude, the highest honor during that time in 1960. Arthur Yap
Arthur Yap Chioh Hiong (; 1943 – 19 June 2006) was a Singaporean poet, writer and painter. Biography Arthur Yap was born in Singapore, the sixth child of a carpenter and a housewife. Yap attended St Andrew's School and the University of Singapore, after which he won a British Council scholarship to study at the University of Leeds in England. At Leeds Arthur earned a master's degree in Linguistics and English Language Teaching, later obtaining his PhD from the National University of Singapore in the years after he returned from Leeds. He stayed on in the University's Department of English Language and Literature as a lecturer between the years 1979 and 1998.
