U América FC is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Lima. History The club was founded with the name of América Cochahuayco, subsequently in 1996 the club changed by name Universitario de América until 1997. In the 2011, the club changed by name to U América FC. The club was 1999 Segunda División Peruana champion, but was defeated by Deportivo Pesquero in the Promotion Play-off. In the 2003 Segunda División Peruana, the club was relegated to the Copa Perú. The club was promoted to the 2005 Segunda División Peruana as 2004 Liga Departamental de Lima champion. In the 2011 Peruvian Segunda División, the club was relegated to the 2012 Copa Perú when it was defeated by Coronel Bolognesi in the relegation playoff. They classified to the Regional Stage as Peruvian Segunda Division relegatees where they had a short one game campaign in which they lost to Márquez FC. Estadio Monumental "U"
The Estadio Monumental (''Monumental Stadium'') is a football stadium in the district of Ate in Lima, Peru. It is the home of Club Universitario de Deportes, and it was opened in 2000 to replace the Estadio Teodoro Lolo Fernandez. Its only legal owner is the club itself. Designed by Progreso International and Gremco S.A., Uruguayan architect Walter Lavalleja Sarriés led the construction of the stadium. At the time of its construction, it became Peru's largest stadium and also the 5th largest in South America. Since its expansion to 80,000 capacity in early 2020s, it has become the largest stadium by seating capacity on the continent. The stadium was built in accordance with FIFA’s manual of technical specifications for World Cup finals. The Peruvian football league system is a complex system. Though the general outline includes the Liga 1, Liga 2 and Copa Perú. The Copa Perú is very large involving several stages and leagues within it. In addition, the Copa Perú is played within a year. Coronel Bolognesi
Coronel Bolognesi Fútbol Club is a Peruvian football club located in the city of Tacna. Originally founded on 18 October 1929, It was named after Francisco Bolognesi. Years later, a second branch of the club called Club Sport Bolito, was founded on 27 May 1998. The club quickly surpassed its older counterpart's achievements and, following its success in 2001 Copa Perú, the president's club Elena Martorell (Fernando Martorell's sister, then president of CD Coronel Bolognesi), decided to change the club's name to Coronel Bolognesi Fútbol Club, in order to further identify both clubs's identities and share their successes. 2012 Copa Perú
The 2012 Copa Perú season ( es, Copa Perú 2012), the promotion tournament of Peruvian football, started on February. The tournament has 5 stages. The first four stages are played as mini-league round-robin tournaments, except for third stage in region IV, which is played as a knockout stage. The final stage features two knockout rounds and a final four-team group stage to determine the two promoted teams. The 2011 Segunda División season was the 66th edition of the second tier of Federación Peruana de Futbol. The tournament was played on a home-and-away round-robin basis. The season was divided into 2 stages. In the first stage the 10 teams played a round-robin home-and-away round for a total of 18 matches each. In the second stage the 10 teams were divided into 2 groups. The top 5 teams played in the group ''Liguilla Ascenso'' and the bottom 5 teams played in ''Liguilla Descenso''. Deportivo Wanka
Deportivo Wanka is a Peruvian football club, based in the city of Huancayo in the Peruvian Andes. It was founded in 1969 and is named after the Wankas people who formerly inhabited the area and after whom the city of Huancayo is named. The current Deportivo Wanka is merged with Deportivo Pesquero of Chimbote but its home city is still Huancayo. They play their home games at Estadio Huancayo.
