American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. United States Football League (2022)
The United States Football League (USFL) is a professional American football minor league that began play on April 16, 2022. The inaugural 2022 regular season was played in its entirety in Birmingham, Alabama. The postseason games were played in Canton, Ohio, at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. The league is currently owned by National Spring Football League Enterprises Co, LLC, a joint venture between founder Brian Woods and Fox Corporation's sports unit, Fox Sports in the United States. Although the league owns the trademarks of the old USFL, which operated for three seasons during the mid-1980s, the new USFL is not officially associated with that entity. 2022 USFL Season
The 2022 USFL season is the planned inaugural season of the United States Football League (USFL), and the first by a league of the name since the 1985 season of the previous incarnation of the league. Planned to be played from April 16, 2022 to June 2022, it will involve eight teams, and will be played in its entirety in Birmingham, Alabama. Background Broadcasting Fox Sports is the league's official broadcast partner, and plans to split the games' broadcast rights equally between Fox, FS1, NBC and USA Network. KaVontae Turpin
KaVontae Turpin (born August 2, 1996) is an American football wide receiver and return specialist for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at TCU before joining the second iteration of the New Jersey Generals for the 2022 USFL season. On June 22, 2022, Turpin was awarded MVP for the USFL. Turpin also played in the European League of Football for the Wroclaw Panthers from Poland in 2021. Early years Turpin went to Neville High School in his home town Monroe, Louisiana. As a senior, he totaled 1,928 all-purpose yards, including 904 rushing and 724 receiving, and 29 touchdowns.
