UP Lady Booters
The UP Fighting Maroons are the varsity women's football team of the University of the Philippines. They compete at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), as well as at the PFF Women's League, the top-flight domestic women's football league in the Philippines. The team was also among the participants of the Philippine Ladies' Football National League, which was organized by the Philippine Ladies' Football Association in 1981. UP clinched the league title besting Philippine Air Force. The team also participated at the 2015 PFF Women's Cup where they fielded two teams, namely University of the Philippines-X and University of the Philippines-Y. The team won its first UAAP title in Season 78 in 2016 under the watch of their head coach, Anto Gonzales who also led the men's UP team to a football UAAP title. Anto Gonzales
Anto Gonzales is a former Filipino footballer. He is the current head coach of University of the Philippines football team. Playing career Club Gonzales played for Diliman Victory Liner F.C. until 2012 when he was loan by Diliman to Loyola Meralco Sparks F.C. and played for the club in the 2012 UFL season. Diliman and Loyola agreed that the former will recall Gonzales in the following season if Diliman gets promoted to the 1st division which they managed to do so. Diliman later bought by Pachanga F.C. and became Pachangca Diliman F.C. Gonzales returned to the newly merged club. On December 7, 2015, Loyola announced that they have signed in Gonzales. 2015 PFF Women's Cup
The 2015 PFF Women's Cup is the 2nd edition of the cup competition. The previous and inaugural edition in 2014 used a 9-a-side format with two halves of 25 minutes. Starting from the 2015 edition, the cup competition were played in full 90 minutes with 11 field players on each team. The UP Fighting Maroons are the collegiate varsity teams of the University of the Philippines, primarily off University of the Philippines Diliman, Diliman, which play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), the premiere sports league in the country. The Fighting Maroons moniker, though, is more commonly used to refer to the men's basketball team (see #Team monikers, Team monikers below). Christina De Los Reyes
Christina Marie Marañon de los Reyes (born 28 February 1994) is a Filipino footballer who has played for the Philippines women's national team. College career De los Reyes played for the UP Lady Booters of the University of the Philippines Diliman. The team participates in the UAAP and the PFF Women's League. UAAP Season 78 was the 2015–2016 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). It opened on September 5, 2015, almost two months after the usual July opening of the league during previous seasons, due to the shift in the academic calendars of four member universities, i.e. Ateneo, La Salle, UP and UST. PFF Women's League
The PFF Women's League (PFFWL) is the top-flight of women's association football in the Philippines. History To follow up with the PFF Women's Cup which was launched in 2014, the PFF Women's League was launched on November 5, 2016, by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF). The competition became the first to follow a league format following the folding of the Pinay Futbol League in 2013 and became the first women's domestic league in the country. The league sanctioned by PFF as an amateur league as part of ''FIFA's Women's Development Project'' for the Philippines. Prior to the league's establishment, the primary competition for women's football in the Philippines was the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).
