UNSW School Of Photovoltaic And Renewable Energy Engineering
The Faculty of Engineering is a constituent body of the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia. UNSW was formed on 1 July 1949, and the Faculty was established on 8 May 1950 with the inaugural meeting of the Faculty taking place on 7 June 1950. It was one of the first three University faculties which were established by Council (resolution 54), and was initially formed of four departments including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mining Engineering, headed by Dean Professor Harold Brown. Today, it is the largest engineering faculty in Australia, offering the widest range of engineering programmes. Greg Combet
Gregory Ivan Combet (; born 28 April 1958) is a former Australian politician and trade unionist. He was Secretary of the Australian Council of Trade Unions between 1999 and 2007. He was elected member for the New South Wales Federal seat of Charlton for the Australian Labor Party at the 2007 election and was immediately appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Defence Procurement in the First Rudd Ministry on 3 December 2007. Combet was the Minister for Climate Change, Industry and Innovation in the Second Gillard Ministry before announcing his resignation from the ministry on 26 June 2013 following Julia Gillard's defeat in a leadership ballot. Rose Amal (born 1965) is an Australian chemical engineer, currently serving as Scientia Professor and ARC Laureate Fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of New South Wales, Australia, where she is the director of the Particles and Catalysis Research Group. Previously she was Director of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Functional Nanomaterials (2010–2013). BLUEsat
The Bluesat project is an engineering project being undertaken by undergraduate students at the University of New South Wales. It aims to raise awareness of outer space, space and give students the opportunity to undertake space engineering projects. Current projects include an Spacecraft attitude control, attitude control system for the Waratah Seed project and a CubeSat design for the Japanese Satellite Design Competition (Satcon). Past projects Bluesat's ground station team is assisted in ACSER's ECO360 satellite and built a number of system in that satellite. Bluesat's Off-World Robotics team was involved in several rover platform designs for various satellite competitions. OWR's project BLUEtounge came 16th out of 40 in the European Rover Challenge 2015, 9th at the 2016 iteration of the challenge and 8th in the 2018 iteration.
