UCAM Murcia
UCAM Universidad Católica de Murcia Club de Baloncesto, S.A.D., more commonly referred to as UCAM Murcia, is a professional basketball team based in Murcia, Spain. It plays their home games at Palacio de Deportes. History Founded in 1985 under the name Agrupación Deportiva Júver, Murcia agreed with a Madrid-based club, Logos de Madrid, to buy out its rights to play in the Spanish second division. Murcia would play at that level for four consecutive seasons and its first superstar was do-it-all big man Randy Owens. In 1990, Murcia, led by veteran center Mike Phillips, beat Obradoiro in a playoffs series to gain promotion to the Spanish League. Liga ACB
The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administrated by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the LEB Oro and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. The competition was founded as the ACB Primera División on 1983 following the decision of clubs in the Liga Nacional, founded in 1957, to break away from the Spanish Basketball Federation and professionalize the league. The league's accumulated revenues were worth around €30 million in 2020, with Endesa and Movistar Plus+ contributing 50% of the revenues of the league. José "Moncho" Manuel Monsalve, commonly known as Moncho Monsalve (born in Medina del Campo, Castile and León, Spain; 1 January 1945), is a former Spanish professional basketball player and coach. Biography As a player, he played at Atlético San Sebastián, Real Madrid (1963–1967), SD Kas and CB Girona. He retired in 1971 due to several injuries. Fotios Katsikaris
Fotios Katsikaris (alternate spelling: Fotis) (Greek: Φώτιος Κατσικάρης, born 16 May 1967) is a Greek professional basketball coach and a former professional basketball player, he was most recently head coach for the Unicaja Málaga of the Spanish Liga ACB. The 2014–15 ACB season was the 32nd season of the Spanish basketball league, also called Liga Endesa in its sponsored identity. The regular season started on 4 October 2014 and finished on 24 May 2015. The playoffs, joined by the eight first qualified teams, was played between 28 May and 24 June 2015. Carlos Eduardo Cabezas Jurado (born November 14, 1980) is a Spanish professional basketball player for Alba Fehérvár. He is the nephew of the former Uruguayan professional footballer Hugo Cabezas, who played in Spain in the late 70s. Raul "Raulzinho" Togni Neto (; born 19 May 1992) is a Brazilian professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Scott Douglas Bamforth (born August 12, 1989) is an American-Kosovan professional basketball player for Victoria Libertas Pesaro of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). Standing at 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m), he plays at the shooting guard position. He played college basketball at Western Nebraska CC and Weber State. The 2007–08 ACB season was the 25th season of the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto. The 612-game regular season (34 games for each of the 18 teams) began on Saturday, October 6, 2007, and ended on Friday, May 9, 2008. The ACB playoffs started on Thursday, May 15, 2008 and ran until Tuesday, June 3, 2008. Basket Zaragoza 2002 S.A.D., more commonly referred to as Basket Zaragoza and as Casademont Zaragoza for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Zaragoza, Spain. The team plays in the Liga ACB. Their home arena is the Pabellón Príncipe Felipe.
