The Castile and León autonomous basketball team is the basketball team of Castile and León. The team is not affiliated to FIBA, so only plays friendly games. History The first appearance of Castile and León was on 2005, in Burgos and they were defeated by Portugal. Next year, another friendly game was played this time at Palencia with Japan, and the team was defeated again. In 2007, the Castile and León team was invited by the Portuguese Basketball Federation to play a tournament in Anadia. Kosuke Takeuchi
Kosuke Takeuchi (竹内 公輔、born January 29, 1985 in Suita, Osaka, Japan) is a Japanese professional basketball player. He plays for the Utsunomiya Brex of the B.League. Takeuchi also is a member of the Japan national basketball team, playing for the team in the 2006 FIBA World Championship and both the FIBA Asia Championship 2007 and FIBA Asia Championship 2009. Fernando San Emeterio Lara (born 1 January 1984) is a Spanish professional basketball coach and former player. He is currently working as an assistant coach for Valencia of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. He was an All-EuroLeague First Team selection in 2011, as well as the ACB MVP the same year. Polideportivo El Plantío is a multi-purpose sports arena in Burgos, Castile and León, Spain. It has a capacity of 2,432 seats but for CB Miraflores games it's expanded to 3,150 by adding chairs in all the corridors. It is owned by the Burgos City Hall.
