U-Kwon
Kim Yu-kwon (Hangul: 김유권, born April 9, 1992), better known by the stage name U-Kwon (Hangul: 유권), is a South Korean singer. He is a vocalist and dancer in Block B; he is also a member of the sub-unit Bastarz along with P.O and B-Bomb, as well as the sub-unit T2u with Taeil. Biography U-Kwon was born in Suwon, South Korea. Career U-Kwon debuted with Block B in April 2011. Four years later, it was announced that U-Kwon would participate in Block B's first sub-unit, Bastarz, along with members P.O and B-Bomb. The group's first album was released on April 13, 2015, and its second on October 31, 2016. Block B ( ko, 블락비) is a South Korean boy band managed by KQ Entertainment, and consists of seven members: Taeil, B-Bomb, Jaehyo, U-Kwon, Park Kyung, Zico, and P.O. Block B has received several accolades, including nominations for seven Golden Disc Awards and eleven Seoul Music Awards. Block B was created by musician Cho PD in 2011 on a budget of US$1.4 million. ''Lipstick Prince'' () is a South Korean beauty show distributed by OnStyle and premiered on December 1, 2016. The show features 7 idols learning about makeup techniques and applying these new skills either on mannequins or celebrity guests. The show hopes to break the stereotype that makeup is only for females and to encourage discussion of cosmetics, makeovers, and beauty among male idols. Format A female celebrity guest, or ''"princess"'', will talk about what makeup look she'd like to try. The cast members will then learn the makeup style from a professional makeup artist and practice their new skills on mannequins. Bastarz (Korean: 바스타즈 (''Baseutajeu''); stylized BASTARZ) is the first official sub-unit of the South Korean boy band Block B. Established in April 2015, the sub-unit consists of three members: Block B's two main dancers, B-Bomb and U-Kwon, and the rapper P.O. ''The King of Mask Singer'' () is a South Korean singing competition program presented by Kim Sung-joo, with introductions by voice actor . It airs on MBC on Sunday, starting from April 5, 2015 as a part of MBC's '' Sunday Night'' programming block. Format Each competition lasts for two episodes, with the singers competing one-on-one in three elimination rounds. They are given elaborate masks which are made by designer and gloves to wear in order to conceal their identity, thus removing factors such as popularity, career and age that could lead to prejudiced voting.
