Téléphone () was a French rock band formed in 1976. Their first, self-titled album was released in 1977; by the end of the decade they were one of the biggest French rock bands around, opening shows for The Rolling Stones in Paris, Quebec, the United States and Japan. The band split in 1986 for personal reasons. They have sold around 10 million albums to date, a record still unbeaten for a French rock band. Crache Ton Venin
''Crache Ton Venin'' is the second album by French rock band Téléphone. The title, translating literally as 'Spit Your Venom', is also the name for the album's opening track. Released in 1979, it was the album that cemented Téléphone's position as one of the foremost French rock groups of the era, some reviewers citing the sound as being like a French Rolling Stones. The album was recorded in London and produced by Martin Rushent who had previously worked with the Buzzcocks. Laurence Diana acted as the assistant producer. The album inner cover, outwardly reminiscent of the era's British punk/new-wave designs, was original for the fact that the band's clothes were in fact printed on tracing paper, beneath which the band photo in fact showed the musicians naked (albeit with their legs tactically crossed). Louis Bertignac
Louis Bertignac (; born 23 February 1954) is a French guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. An ex Shakin' Street member and a founding member in 1976 of the rock band Téléphone, he formed Bertignac et les Visiteurs after Téléphone split in 1986. Tony Visconti produced his first solo album, ''Elle et Louis'' (1993) and Chris Kimsey the second, '' '96''. In 2004, he produced, arranged and played guitar on the debut album by Carla Bruni, ''Quelqu'un m'a dit''. Bruni in turn contributed lyrics to 10 of the 12 songs on Bertignac's 2005 album ''Longtemps.'' Jean-Louis Aubert (, born 12 April 1955) is a French singer-songwriter, guitarist, composer and producer. He went on a solo career after the split of the rock band Téléphone that he co-founded. Early life Born in Nantua, Ain, France in 1955, Aubert and his two sisters moved with his parents to Senlis, Oise, where his father was a sub-prefect. He was raised by their service people. In 1965, his family moved to Paris. Although he was in the scouts and the choir, Aubert was a difficult child. Later, he went to school at Lycée Pasteur (Neuilly-sur-Seine) with his friends Louis Bertignac and Olivier Caudron. At the age of 15, they founded their first band, Masturbation. He got his high school diploma in 1973. Rarely focused on his studies, he was already dedicating most of his time to music. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry.
