Tyrone Nurse
Tyrone Nurse (born 4 January 1990) is a British professional boxer. He held the British super lightweight title from 2015 to 2017 and challenged once for the Commonwealth super lightweight title in 2014. Career From Huddersfield, Nurse made his professional debut in March 2008 with a win over Kristian Laight. After winning his first 20 fights he competed in the ''Prizefighter'' tournament in 2012, losing in the final to Adil Anwar, his first defeat as a professional. Nurse was born to an English father and a Jamaican mother. In February 2013 he stopped Joe Elfidh in the second round to take the vacant BBBofC Central Area super lightweight title, and in September 2013 was due to face Shayne Singleton for the vacant English title. Singleton pulled out of the fight after failing to make the weight, with Nurse beating late replacement Krzysztof Szot on points. Light welterweight, also known as junior welterweight or super lightweight, is a weight class in combat sports. Boxing Professional boxing In professional boxing, light welterweight is contested between the lightweight and welterweight divisions, in which boxers weigh above 61.2kg or 135 pounds and up to 63.5 kg or 140 pounds. The ''South Wales Evening Post'' is a tabloid daily newspaper distributed in the South West region of Wales. Tommy Coyle (born 2 September 1989) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 2009 to 2019. He held the Commonwealth lightweight title in 2018, and has challenged once for the British light-welterweight title in 2016. He is the older brother of Hull City footballer Lewie Coyle. Joe Hughes is an English professional boxer who was born with Erb's palsy. He held the European light-welterweight title from 2018 to 2019 and challenged twice for the same title, along with two attempts at the British light-welterweight title between 2017 and 2019. Early life Joe Hughes was born on 6 August 1990 in Bath, Somerset, and grew up in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. He developed Erb's palsy after dislocating his shoulder during birth, a condition which causes paralysis due to damaged nerves. Ponds Forge International Sports Centre is a leisure complex in Sheffield, England, that contains an Olympic-sized swimming pool with seating for 2,600 spectators, family and children's pools (50 m Competition pool and 25 m diving pit), water slides and other sports facilities.
