Two-Gun Gussie
''Two-Gun Gussie'' is a 1918 American short comedy film featuring Harold Lloyd. Plot Gussie (Harold Lloyd) is a mild-mannered easterner who finds employment as a piano player in a rowdy western saloon. Dagger-Tooth Dan, the toughest character in town, sees two letters the local sheriff has received. One includes a picture of him, from another western sheriff, with a warning that Dan is a violent menace. The other letter contains a photo of Gussie and a check from his father, asking the sheriff to gave the check to Gussie. Dan switches the photos in the envelopes so that he receives Gussie's check. Furthermore, the sheriff now believes that Gussie is a violent gunman. Within a short time, the entire town is scared of Gussie's reputation. Gussie himself starts to believe he is a tough guy. James Parrott
James Parrott (August 2, 1897 – May 10, 1939) was an American actor and film director; and the younger brother of film comedian Charley Chase. Biography Early years James Gibbons Parrott was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to Charles and Blanche Thompson Parrott. In 1903, his father died from a heart attack, leaving the family in bad financial shape, which forced them to move in with a relative. Charley Jr. quit school, so he could go to work, in order to support his mother and brother. Eventually the call of the stage beckoned him, and Charley Jr. left home at age 16 to travel the vaudeville circuit as a singer and comedic performer. By the time James had reached his teens, he too, had quit school, and became involved with the street gangs of Baltimore. Harold Lloyd Filmography
These are the known films of Harold Lloyd (1893–1971), an American actor and filmmaker most famous for his hugely successful and influential silent film comedies. Most of these films are known to survive in Lloyd's personal archive collection and in various film archives around the world. Some are also available on DVD or Blu-ray. The negatives of many of Lloyd's early short films were lost in a fire at his estate in 1943. The losses include five of the six Willie Work films, 53 of the 67 Lonesome Luke films, and 15 of the 81 one-reel Glasses character films. All of Lloyd's films from ''Bumping into Broadway'' (1919) onward exist in complete form in the archives. He carefully preserved his feature films, and they remain in excellent condition.
