''Twilight Hour'' is a 1945 British Drama (film and television), drama film directed by Paul L. Stein and starring Mervyn Johns, Basil Radford, and Marie Lohr. It was shot at the British National Studios in Elstree. The film's sets were designed by the art director Wilfred Arnold. It was based on a novel of the same title by Arthur ValentineGoble, Alan. Grey Blake
Grey Blake (1902–1971) was a British stage, film and television actor. Amongst his stage appearances was as Peter Quilpe in the original Broadway theatre, Broadway production of ''The Cocktail Party'' by T.S. Eliot at Henry Miller's Theatre in 1950. Bertram Wallis
Bertram Wallis (22 February 1874 – 11 April 1952) was an English actor and singer known for his performances in plays, musical comedies and operettas in the early 20th century, first as leading men and then in character roles. He also later appeared in several film roles. Early years Wallis was born in London. He was the son of Frederick Augustus Wallis and Sarah Mary (née Williams). A huge man who stood almost 7 feet tall, he won the Westmorland Scholarship to study voice at the Royal Academy of Music, where he won the Parepa-Rosa gold medal and the Evill Prize. After his studies, his first role was Amiens in George Alexander's production of ''As You Like It'' in 1896. Marie Ault (2 September 1870 – 9 May 1951) was a British character actress of stage and film. Biography Born as Mary Cragg, in Wigan, Lancashire, (now Greater Manchester. England. Ault was a star in many British films of the silent era but is most remembered for her role as Daisy Bunting's mother in '' The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog'' (1927) directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
