Victor Saville
Victor Saville (25 September 1895 – 8 May 1979) was an English film director, producer, and screenwriter. He directed 39 films between 1927 and 1954. He also produced 36 films between 1923 and 1962. Biography Saville produced his first film, '' Woman to Woman'', with Michael Balcon in 1923, and on the back of its success produced pictures for the veteran director Maurice Elvey, including the classic British silent '' Hindle Wakes'' (1927). His first picture as director was '' The Arcadians'' (1927). In 1929 he and Balcon worked together again on a talkie remake of ''Woman to Woman'' for Balcon's company, Gainsborough Pictures. This time Saville directed it. Imperial Studios were the studios of the British and Dominions Film Corporation, a short-lived British film production company located at Imperial Place, Elstree Way, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. Harry Crocker
Henry Joseph Crocker II (July 2, 1893 – May 23, 1958) was an American journalist and occasional film actor. Life and career Although Crocker was for most of his career a ''Los Angeles Examiner'' newsman, he also appeared as Rex in Charlie Chaplin's '' The Circus'' in 1928. He was Chaplin's personal assistant until he was fired during the making of Chaplin's '' City Lights'' in 1930. Crocker later reconciled with Chaplin and maintained a friendship until the comedian left America in 1952. Overall, Crocker appeared in 20 films between 1925 and 1952, mostly in small roles or cameo appearances. Belle Chrystall (25 April 19107 June 2003) was a British actress who appeared in a number of leading roles in British films during the 1930s. She was born in Preston, Lancashire in 1910. She came to London and after appearing on stage was given a minor part in a film ''A Warm Corner'', directed by Victor Saville but she was given no more work after that. Kim Peacock (1901–1966) was born on 24 March 1901 in Watford, Hertfordshire, England. He was an actor and writer, known for ''Midnight at the Wax Museum'' (1936), ''BBC Sunday-Night Theatre'' (1950) and ''Hit Parade'' (1952). He died on 26 December 1966 in Emsworth, Hampshire.
