Tvangeste
Tvangeste is a Russian/Canadian symphonic black metal duo composed of husband and wife Mikhail "Miron" Chirva and Naturelle Chirva. The band's name comes from ''Twangste'' (also spelled as ''Tuwangste'', ''Tvankste'' or ''Twankste''), an Old Prussian word meaning "Dam". Twangste was also the name of a small Old Prussian village roughly located at what is now the city of Kaliningrad (known as Königsberg until 1946) that was seized in 1255 by the Teutonic Knights. In the site of the settlement, the now-demolished Königsberg Castle was built. (The House of Soviets now stands on the former site of the castle.) Biography Tvangeste was formed in 1996 in Kaliningrad, Russia, and its line-up at the time consisted of Miron Chirva, Edgar, Nikolay "Kok" Kazmin and Klaus. Damnation Of Regiomontum
''Damnation of Regiomontum'' is the debut album by Russian symphonic black metal band Tvangeste. It was released on 13 January 2000 via now-defunct Norwegian record label Valgarder, that was owned by Ásmegin member and multi-instrumentalist Marius Glenn Olaussen. ''Regiomontum'' (also ''Regiomonti'' or ''Mons Regius'') was the Latin-language name for the now-demolished Königsberg Castle. The track "Thinking..." was previously featured on their homonymous 1998 demo. A music video was made for the track "From Nameless Oracle". As with ''Firestorm'', it is available for free download on Tvangeste's official website. Firestorm (Tvangeste Album)
''Firestorm'' is the second studio album by Russian symphonic black metal band Tvangeste. It was released on 1 September 2003 via now-defunct Japanese record label Worldchaos Production. It is available in two formats: the usual jewel case CD and the digipak, which contains different cover art and a radio edit of the song "Under the Black Raven's Wings" as a bonus track. Most of the album's lyrics were written by Russian poet Alexander Marchenko. A music video was recorded for the track "Under the Black Raven's Wings".
