Tui T. Sutherland
Tui Tamara Sutherland (born July 31, 1978 in Caracas, Venezuela) is an American children's book author who has written more than 50 books under her own name and under several pen names. In 2009, she appeared as a contestant on ''Jeopardy!'', becoming a two-day champion and winning a grand total of $46,200. Sutherland's books have sold over 15 million copies; she is perhaps best known for writing the ''Wings of Fire'' series of dragon fantasy novels. Early life, education and literary career Tui T. Sutherland was born on July 31, 1978 in Caracas. Her mother, who was from New Zealand, named her after the tui, a bird native to that country. Sutherland lived in Asuncion, Miami, and Santo Domingo for short periods before moving to New Jersey in high school. While in high school she began doing theater, mostly backstage work. Ophelia
Ophelia () is a character in William Shakespeare's drama ''Hamlet'' (1599–1601). She is a young noblewoman of Denmark, the daughter of Polonius, sister of Laertes and potential wife of Prince Hamlet, who, due to Hamlet's actions, ends up in a state of madness that ultimately leads to her drowning. Along with Queen Gertrude, Ophelia is one of only two female characters in the original play. Name Like most characters in ''Hamlet'', Ophelia's name is not Danish. A Midsummer Night's Dream
''A Midsummer Night's Dream'' is a comedy written by William Shakespeare 1595 or 1596. The play is set in Athens, and consists of several subplots that revolve around the marriage of Theseus and Hippolyta. One subplot involves a conflict among four Athenian lovers. Another follows a group of six amateur actors rehearsing the play which they are to perform before the wedding. Both groups find themselves in a forest inhabited by fairies who manipulate the humans and are engaged in their own domestic intrigue. Bear
Bears are carnivoran mammals of the family Ursidae. They are classified as caniforms, or doglike carnivorans. Although only eight species of bears are extant, they are widespread, appearing in a wide variety of habitats throughout the Northern Hemisphere and partially in the Southern Hemisphere. Bears are found on the continents of North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. ''Seekers'' is a children's novel series written by a team of authors under the pseudonym Erin Hunter, who also wrote the '' Warriors'' series. ''Seekers'' follows the adventures of four bear cubs: Kallik (a polar bear), Lusa (a black bear), Ujurak (a small grizzly bear who can shape-shift into any animal), and Toklo (also a grizzly bear). ''Warriors'' (also known as ''Warrior Cats'') is a series of novels based on the adventures and drama of multiple Clans of feral cats. The series is primarily set in fictional forests. Cherith Baldry
Cherith Baldry (born 21 January 1947) is a British writer of children's fiction and fantasy fiction. Beside publication under her own name, she is the author of some works published under the pseudonyms Adam Blade, Jenny Dale, Jack Dillon, and Erin Hunter. Biography Born in Lancaster, England, Baldry studied at Manchester University and St Anne's College, Oxford. She worked both as a teacher and a lecturer. Baldry is one of seven authors who writes under the pen name of Erin Hunter. Kate Cary (born 4 November 1967 in Birmingham, England) is an author, most well known for her work on the ''Warriors'' series. Works Cary is a contributor to, alongside several others, the pen name Erin Hunter. She is also the single author of a series entitled ''Bloodline.'' Warriors Cary has written '' Into the Wild'', '' Fire and Ice'', '' The Sight'', ''The Last Hope'' and '' Bluestar's Prophecy'', among other titles in the series. She stated that she becomes attached to the characters of the novels and usually feels distraught when writing death scenes. She also suggests that Loch Lomond offers her the inspiration for ThunderClan's territory in the novels. Bloodline The first ''Bloodline'' book was written in 2005, simply entitled ''Bloodline''.
