Trinidad, Texas
Trinidad is a city in Henderson County, Texas, United States, near the Trinity River from which the town's name was derived. The population was 860 at the 2020 census, down from 886 at the 2010 census. During the Spanish Texas period, the town was known as Santísima Trinidad de Salcedo. (''See Gutiérrez–Magee Expedition.'') Geography Trinidad is located along the western edge of Henderson County at (32.147365, –96.090791). The western border of the city follows the Trinity River, which forms the Navarro County line. The eastern border of the city follows Cedar Creek, a tributary of the Trinity, and the northern boundary of the city in part follows the dam at the south end of Cedar Creek Reservoir. Cedar Creek is a creek in Kaufman County, Van Zandt County, and Henderson County in Texas. It is a tributary to the Trinity River. The creek's impoundment forms the reservoir named Cedar Creek Lake. The Köppen climate classification is one of the most widely used climate classification systems. Kemp, Texas
Kemp is a city in Kaufman County, Texas, United States. The population was 1,129 in 2020. History The community was named for Sara Kemp, mother of Levi Noble, the first postmaster, and was officially established when the post office opened in 1851. The original townsite was located on present-day County Road 4023 south of present-day Texas State Highway 274. It grew slowly during its first thirty years. A Presbyterian congregation was organized in 1854, and the Kemp Academy of Learning began operation in 1867. After the Civil War an increasing number of settlers moved to the community. In 1870 Dr. A. J. Corsicana is a city in Navarro County, Texas, United States. It is located on Interstate 45, 56 miles northeast of Waco, Texas. The population was 23,770 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Navarro County, and an important Agri-business center.
