Travis Taylor (basketball)
Travis Taylor (born April 25, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for Bakken Bears of the Basketligaen. He played college basketball for Monmouth Hawks men's basketball, Monmouth and later Xavier Musketeers men's basketball, Xavier. Career After going undrafted at the 2013 NBA draft, Taylor joined the Austrian club Güssing Knights where he played for the next two seasons. On July 3, 2015, he signed with the French club STB Le Havre. On November 19, 2015, he parted ways with Le Havre after appearing in seven 2015–16 LNB Pro A season, league games and three 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup, FIBA Europe Cup games. In February 2016, he signed with Hungarian club Soproni KC for the rest of the 2015–16 Nemzeti Bajnokság I/A (men's basketball), 2015–16 NB I/A season. Center (basketball)
The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. They traditionally play close to the basket in the low post. Centers are valued for their ability to protect their own goal from high-percentage close attempts on defense, while scoring and rebounding with high efficiency on offense. National Basketball League (Bulgaria)
The National Basketball League (NBL) (in Bulgarian: Националната баскетболна лига) is the highest professional basketball league in Bulgaria. The current league was founded in 2008, though the first-tier level existed since 1942 and was previously called the Bulgarian A Division. The games in the NBL are played under FIBA rules. Bulgarian Basketball Cup
The Bulgarian Basketball Cup is an annual cup competition, organized by the Bulgarian Basketball Federation since 1951. The cup was not held in 1957, 1958, 1960 and 1961. BC CSKA Sofia is the all-time record holder with 18 titles. Format Since 2009, except from 2017-2019, the Final Eight format has been used and from 2010 only teams from the first tier participate in it. The eight teams play a play-off at one venue, over four days, eventually producing a winner. From 2017 to 2019, the quarterfinals and semifinals are played in a double-legged format, while the final was played in one game on a neutral venue. The top six teams, from NBL, have an automatic bye to quarterfinals, while the other three and five teams from A Group League (second tier) play preliminary rounds for a place in the quarterfinals. The Turkish Basketball First League, also called TBL, is the second-tier level league of professional club basketball in Turkey. The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a "Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season. In addition to the league competition, all BBL teams compete for the German Basketball Cup. 2016–17 Championnat LNA Season
The 2016–17 Championnat LNA season was the 86th season of the top tier basketball league in Switzerland. Monthey won its third national championship. Competition format All teams played two times against each other for completing 20 games per team. The six first qualified teams joined the group for places 1 to 6 while the other five teams will play the group for places 7 to 11. These two groups will be played with a one-legged round-robin format, where all teams from group 1 to 6 and the two first qualified teams from the group for the seventh position will be qualified for the playoffs. 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup
The 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup was the inaugural season of the newly formed basketball competition organised by FIBA. The season started on 21 October 2015 and ended on 1 May 2016. The competition replaced the EuroChallenge and had the aim to take the place of Eurocup (organised by Euroleague Basketball), as the second-tier competition in Europe. Format In the Regular season, 56 teams are divided into 14 groups of four teams. In the Round of 32, the first and second best teams from the Regular season play in groups of four.
