Trance Energy
Energy (formerly known as Trance Energy) was a Dutch trance event featuring trance music DJs from around the world. It was organized by ID&T and was held since 1999 in various venues in the Netherlands. History The event was founded in 1999. Traditionally, there was a "small" edition and a big edition each year. In 2002, the small edition failed to sell out its 20,000-person ticket capacity (only 15,000 tickets were sold) and thereafter, Trance Energy was only held once annually, at the Jaarbeurs convention center in Utrecht, where it has been sold out each year up to 2009. The festival gained "cult" status among trance fans. In 2010, it failed to sell out by slight margins since it was organized on Easter week end and this was problematic for some foreign visitors (especially from Poland). ID&T
ID&T is a Dutch entertainment and medium enterprise that was founded in the early 1990s. Their event Mysteryland is named the oldest electronic festival in the Netherlands, with later events like Trance Energy and Sensation. It operates many of the largest electronic dance music events in the world. They were also involved in the editions of Tomorrowland up until 2013. History Early years and growth ID&T stands for the initials of three founders of the company, Irfan van Ewijk, Duncan Stutterheim and Theo Lelie, all residents of Amsterdam. The Beauty Of Silence
The Beauty of Silence is an uplifting trance track that was composed and produced by Sven Maes and Johan Gielen. The song was a huge hit in Japan and was the title track for a compilation of singles released by Avex. The Beauty of Silence was the theme to the 5th edition of the European dance event called Trance Energy. It has retained its popularity over the years. It has been included on the two-disc album ''Club Nation America'' by Johnny Vicious and Tall Paul. It is also the title track of Svenson & Gielen's only studio album ''The Beauty of Silence''. One of the show points of this tune is the silence transitioning two passages of the tune. Trance is marked by repetitious rhythmic electronic beat and here it is played in point and counterpoint. As a result of the song's success in Japan, it was included on beatmania IIDX 7th Style as a playable song with two other songs licensed by Avex. Hardwell
Robbert van de Corput (; born January 7, 1988), known professionally as Hardwell, is a Dutch DJ and music producer from Breda. He was voted the world's number one DJ by ''DJ Mag'' in 2013 and again in 2014. In 2022, he was ranked at number 43 in the top 100 DJs 2020 poll by ''DJ Mag''. He is best known for his sets at music festivals, including Ultra Music Festival, Sunburn and Tomorrowland. He first gained recognition in 2009 for his bootleg of "Show Me Love vs. Be". Jochen van der Steijn () (born 11 April 1979), better known by his stage name Jochen Miller , is a trance musician and progressive house DJ from Langenboom in the province of North Brabant in southern Netherlands. Biography He started his career under the alias "DJ Jochen"; changing to his current name in 2003. He began his career at 16, practicing his mixing skills at a disco owned by his father, where he went on to become a resident DJ. Two years later, at the age of 18, he had a residency at Zino's dance club in Tilburg, NL. In 1999, he won the Dutch Mixing Championships at Dance Valley, where he gained attention for spinning three turntables. Rank 1 is a Dutch trance group, formed in the Netherlands in 1997. Widely regarded as one of the originators of the Dutch trance sound, the group have produced a number of dancefloor hits since their conception. Although the two members of the group ( Benno de Goeij and Piet Bervoets) had worked together before, Rank 1 (a name first used in 1999) was their first project with commercial success. History The first Rank 1 release was an EP containing "The Citrus Juicer" and "Black Snow". Airscape is a Belgian trance act composed of Johan Gielen and formerly, Sven Maes. The group also recorded as Svenson & Gielen () and several other pseudonyms. The two man group dissolved in 2005, each going solo. In 2009, Airscape was revived by Johan Gielen. Biography The name Airscape was first used by Johan Gielen for work with other producers, mostly Jos Borremans. Gielen and Sven Maes started producing together in 1994 under the alias Body Heat. It wouldn't be until 1997 that they would resurrect the Airscape name, and until 2000 that they would become known as Svenson & Gielen.
