Tramway Français Standard
The Tramway Français Standard (TFS) is a type of tram designed and manufactured by Alstom for use on various trams in France, tramway systems in France. The TFS is no longer in production, having been superseded by the Alstom Citadis range of tramcars. Two different models of the TFS were produced, both being Articulated vehicle, articulated designs. The first model, the TFS-1, was built for the opening of the Tramway de Nantes, Nantes tram system in 1985. As built, these were single-articulated 6-axle tramcars with a high floor and steep stepped access from low level boarding platforms. All the tramcars built in this form have since been rebuilt with an added low-floor centre section, thus becoming 8-axle double-articulated cars. Nantes subsequently bought additional TFS-1 trams in this 8-axle configuration. For the opening of the Tramway de Grenoble, Grenoble tram system, the TFS-2 variant was created. PCC Streetcar
The PCC (Presidents' Conference Committee) is a streetcar (tram) design that was first built in the United States in the 1930s. The design proved successful in its native country, and after World War II it was licensed for use elsewhere in the world where PCC based cars were made. Île-de-France tramway Line 1 (usually called simply T1) is part of the modern tram network of the Île-de-France region of France. Line T1 connects Noisy-le-Sec station and Asnières-sur-Seine with a suburban alignment running in parallel to the Northern city limits of Paris. The line has a length of and 36 stations. Saint-Étienne Tramway
The Saint-Étienne tramway (french: Tramway de Saint-Étienne) is a tram system in the city of Saint-Étienne in the Rhône-Alpes (France) that has functioned continuously since its opening in 1881. The first tramway line was steam-operated and was opened by the (CFVE) on 4 December 1881, stretching for 5.5 km between and . The CFVE took over the lines and discontinued the use of steam in 1912. Lines with small patronage were replaced by trolleybuses in 1932 with all but one line closed in 1956 as a result of the impossibility of running these buses on the busiest line of the network.
