Toyoo Ashida
was an anime character designer, animation director and director. He was most notable for directing the original ''Vampire Hunter D'' anime, as well as for providing character designs for '' Vifam'', ''Mashin Hero Wataru'', ''Minky Momo'' and '' F-Zero GP Legend''. He is the founder of the anime production studio, Studio Live and as well as the Japanese Animation Creators Association (JAniCA) along with Satoshi Kon. His designs are similar to those of Akira Toriyama. Toyoo got his style while working on Dr. Slump. He was also heavily inspired by Tex Avery, Bob Clampett, the Fleischer Brothers, Harvey Kurtzman and Jack Davis. Anime
is Traditional animation, hand-drawn and computer animation, computer-generated animation originating from Japan. Outside of Japan and in English, ''anime'' refers specifically to animation produced in Japan. New Moomin
is the second anime television series adaptation of the Moomin book series by the Finnish illustrator and writer Tove Jansson. It is a remake of the 1969-1970 ''Moomin'' series, which was loosely based on the books. It was produced in 1972 by Zuiyo Eizo and Mushi Production as part of the ''Calpis Comic Theater'' (later known as World Masterpiece Theater) and broadcast on Fuji TV. Production The series was produced as a remake after the 1969-70 series was cancelled after Jansson's complaints about its radical difference from how she wanted the series to be. Neither the series nor its 1969 predecessor broadcast outside Japan except Taiwan, which aired in TTV. Unlike its predecessor, the series was more faithful to the books. Ulysses 31
(french: link=no, Ulysse 31) is an anime series (1981) that updates the Greek mythology of Odysseus (known as "Ulixes" or "Ulysses" in Latin) to the 31st century. The show comprises 26 half-hour episodes as a co-production between DIC Audiovisuel and TMS Entertainment. Plot The series (made by the French Jean Chalopin) follows the struggles of Ulysses and his crew against the divine entities that rule the universe, the ancient gods from Greek mythology. The Gods of Olympus are angered when Ulysses, commander of the giant spaceship ''Odyssey'', kills the giant Cyclops to save a group of enslaved children, including his son. Zeus sentences Ulysses to travel the universe with his crew frozen until he finds the Kingdom of Hades, at which point his crew will be revived and he will be able to return to Earth. Muteking, The Dashing Warrior
is an anime television series produced by Tatsunoko Productions for Fuji TV. It ran from September 7, 1980, to September 27, 1981. Twelve-year-old Rin Yuki loyally supported his father when the world laughed at the scientist for saying that Earth was about to be invaded from outer space. But Rin did not expect to become personally involved—until he met Takoro, the strange young "deputy sheriff" from another world who was on the trail of notorious space criminals. There were only four Kurodako Brothers, but they plotted to use their alien science and natural shape-changing powers to become the secret masters of Earth. Zendaman
is a Japanese anime television series which first aired from February 3, 1979, to January 26, 1980, on every Saturday from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm with a total of 52 episodes. It is the third show in the sequence of "Time Bokan Series" produced by Tatsunoko Productions. It was preceded by ''Yatterman'' and succeeded by ''Rescueman''. is a Japanese anime television series broadcast from January 1, 1977 to January 27, 1979, comprising 108 episodes. is an anime series directed by Rintaro and written by Osamu Tezuka. Originally planned by Tezuka as a full-color remake of the original anime adaptation of his popular manga series ''Astro Boy'', unfavorable circumstances during the pre-production phase of the project led him to abandon it temporarily and create ''Jetter Mars'' instead. is a Japanese series created by Kyoko Mizuki. The main character, Candice "Candy" White Ardley is a blonde girl with freckles, large emerald green eyes and long hair, worn in pigtails with bows.
