''Total Eclipse'' is a space flight simulation video game developed and published by Crystal Dynamics for 3DO Interactive Multiplayer, 3DO. It was later ported to the PlayStation (console), PlayStation under the title ''Total Eclipse Turbo''. The game was copyrighted in 1993 and released 1994.US Copyright Records, Registration number PA0000629438. A sequel, ''Solar Eclipse (video game), Solar Eclipse'', was released for Sega Saturn and PlayStation. Gameplay The game is played in a third-person perspective as the player's ship flies across each Level (video gaming), stage. The player is free to accelerate, decelerate, and maneuver around to dodge obstacles and attack enemies, but the course for each stage is fixed. Rather than space, the player's ship flies over planetary surfaces and through tunnels. In video games, a life is a play-turn that a player character has, defined as the period between start and end of play. Lives refer to a finite number of tries before the game ends with a game over. It is sometimes called a chance, a try, rest or a continue particularly in all-ages games, to avoid the morbid insinuation of losing one's "life". A supernova is a powerful and luminous explosion of a star. It has the plural form supernovae or supernovas, and is abbreviated SN or SNe. Aileron Roll
The aileron roll is an aerobatic maneuver in which an aircraft does a full 360° revolution about its longitudinal axis. When executed properly, there is no appreciable change in altitude and the aircraft exits the maneuver on the same heading as it entered. This is commonly one of the first maneuvers taught in basic aerobatics courses. The aileron roll is commonly confused with a barrel roll. Execution The aileron roll is commonly executed through the application of full aileron in one direction. Draw Distance
In computer graphics, draw distance (render distance or view distance) is the maximum distance of objects in a three-dimensional scene that are drawn by the rendering engine. Polygons that lie beyond the draw distance will not be drawn to the screen. Draw distance requires definition because a processor having to render objects out to an infinite distance would slow down the application to an unacceptable speed.
