The Torbay Express departs from Bristol Temple Meads railway station on summer Sundays at approximately 09:15 with arrival back in Bristol at about 20:10 (depending on the route). Great Western Railway The ''Torbay Express'' was a named train run by the Great Western Railway between Paddington and Kingswear, with a departure time from Paddington of 11:50. Originally the down train also included a slip portion for Ilfracombe, this being detached at Taunton. The departure time from London was changed to 12 noon before the First World War and continued at the same time until after World War 2 although the slip portion had ceased by 1918. Dawlish is an English seaside resort town and civil parishes in England, civil parish in Teignbridge on the south coast of Devon, from the county town of Exeter and from the larger resort of Torquay. Barton Hill is an area of Bristol, just to the east of the city centre and Bristol Temple Meads railway station. It includes residential, retail and industrial premises and is crossed by major roads, railway tracks and the Bristol Feeder Canal, feeder canal leading to Bristol Harbour. British Railways Mark 1 is the family designation for the first standardised designs of railway carriages built by British Railways (BR) from 1951 until 1974, now used only for charter services on the main lines or on preserved railways. Trowbridge railway station is a railway station on the Wessex Main Line serving the town of Trowbridge in Wiltshire, England. The station is south east of and is managed by Great Western Railway. The Dartmouth Steam Railway, formerly known as the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway, is a heritage railway on the former Great Western Railway branch line between and in Devon, England. Much of the railway's business is from summer tourists from the resorts of Torbay, who travel to Kingswear, where the Dartmouth Passenger Ferry takes them across the River Dart to Dartmouth.
