Tony Livesey
Anthony Livesey (born 11 January 1964, Burnley, Lancashire) is a British journalist and broadcaster who presents 'Drive' for BBC Radio 5 Live. Early life Livesey was born in Burnley, Lancashire, and lived in nearby Nelson during the early part of his life. He attended St George's Junior School, Vaughan Street. His mother died aged 44, when he was 13 years old. Career Newspapers Livesey began his career with the ''Nelson Leader'' and then worked in the Middle East with Sam Sloan at the ''Gulf News'' in Dubai. Returning to his native Lancashire, he worked at the ''Lancashire Evening Telegraph'' before spending 18 years with Sport Newspapers where he was editor-in-chief and managing director of the ''Daily Sport'' and ''Sunday Sport'' newspapers. Livesey's 1998 book ''Babes, Booze, Orgies and Aliens: The Inside Story of Sport Newspapers'' recounts some of his experiences working at the organization. BBC Radio Lancashire
BBC Radio Lancashire is the BBC's local radio station serving the county of Lancashire. It broadcasts on FM, AM, DAB, digital TV and via BBC Sounds from studios on Darwen Street in Blackburn. According to RAJAR, the station has a weekly audience of 139,000 listeners and a 4.4% share as of September 2022. Transmitters The 103.9 FM signal comes high on the Winter Hill transmitter, and its height gives it the greatest coverage over Lancashire. North Manchester, although nearby, can also pick up the signal. The One Show
''The One Show'' is a British television magazine and chat show programme. Broadcast live on BBC One weeknights at 7:00 pm, it features topical stories and studio guests. It is currently co-hosted by Alex Jones, Jermaine Jenas, and Ronan Keating. Various reporters also assist with subject-specific presenting, both in the studio and on location, or through filmed segments. ''Never Mind the Buzzcocks'' is a British comedy panel game show with a pop music theme. It has aired on Sky Max since September 2021, having originally aired between November 1996 and January 2015 on BBC Two. The original series was first hosted by Mark Lamarr, then by Simon Amstell, and later by a number of guest presenters, with Rhod Gilbert hosting the final series. It first starred Phill Jupitus and Sean Hughes as team captains, with Hughes being replaced by Bill Bailey from the eleventh series, and Bailey replaced by Noel Fielding for some of series 21 and from series 23 onward. ''Late Kick Off'' is a BBC One regional television football programme which was broadcast between 2010 and 2015. Launched on 18 January 2010, it covered Football League teams on a regional or pan-regional basis in a magazine-style format. The show was usually broadcast on Monday nights, although it was broadcast on Sunday evenings during the 2012 series.
