Tommy Wheeldon Jr.
Thomas Wheeldon Jr. (born 3 May 1979) is an English former professional footballer and current head coach of Cavalry FC in the Canadian Premier League. Playing career Wheeldon began his playing career in England with Swindon Town before moving to Torquay United. In May 2002, Wheeldon joined the Calgary Storm of the A-League to play under the management of his father, Tommy Wheeldon Sr. He went on to make 28 appearances for the club across two seasons. During his time as a player, he also worked as a full-time academy coach and soccer camp director for the club. Coaching career Calgary Foothills After the Calgary Storm folded, Wheeldon decided to remain in Canada and help develop grassroots football. Nikolas William "Nik" Ledgerwood (born 16 January 1985) is a Canadian soccer coach and former player who serves as an assistant coach with Cavalry FC. Club career Early career Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Ledgerwood played for Calgary Storm in 2002, before signing with 1860 Munich in 2003. He signed a two-year (plus two-year club option) contract with 1860 Munich of the German Second Bundesliga in July 2003. He had a few seasons with them in their 'B' team, who played in Germany's third level. England national under-18 football team, also known as England under-18s or England U18(s), represents England in association football at under-18 age level and is controlled by the Football Association, the governing body for football in England. The team is coached by Neil Ryan. The team competed in the FIFA International Youth Tournament (later taken over by UEFA) and its successor, the UEFA European Under-18 Championship, and was often referred to as England Youth. After the tournament was renamed the European Under-18 Championship, England won twice more, in 1980 and 1993. In 1997, eligibility rules changed and the competition was rebranded as the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2001. The 2023 Canadian Premier League season is the fifth season of the Canadian Premier League, the top level of Canadian soccer. Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club is a Canadian professional soccer team based in Vancouver. They compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member club of the league's Western Conference. The MLS iteration of the club was established on March 18, 2009, and began play in 2011 as the 17th team to enter Major League Soccer while replacing the USSF Division 2 team of the same name in the city, making them a phoenix club and the third to carry the Whitecaps name. Forge FC is a Canadian professional soccer club based in Hamilton, Ontario, that competes in the Canadian Premier League, the top tier of Canadian soccer.
