Tomberlin
Sarah Beth Tomberlin (born April 6, 1995), known mononymously as Tomberlin, is an American contemporary folk musician and singer-songwriter based in Louisville, Kentucky. Early life Tomberlin was born in Jacksonville, Florida, but moved five different times before her family ended up residing in Fairfield, Illinois, where her father became a preacher at a local Baptist church. At age 16, Tomberlin finished high school and attended college for a short period, before dropping out, when she began writing songs for her first album. Career Tomberlin released her debut studio album in 2018 on Saddle Creek Records, titled '' At Weddings''. The album was positively received by numerous publications. On August 18, 2020, she announced a new EP called ''Projections'', due out October 16, 2020, alongside the release of a Busy Philipps-directed music video for the song "Wasted". ''At Weddings'' is the debut studio album by American musician Tomberlin. It was released on August 10, 2018, under Saddle Creek Records. Critical reception ''At Weddings'' was met with "universal acclaim" reviews from critics. At Metacritic, which assigns a weighted average rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream publications, this release received an average score of 82 based on 14 reviews. Aggregator Album of the Year gave the release a 80 out of 100 based on a critical consensus of 17 reviews. Saddle Creek Records
Saddle Creek Records is an American record label based in Omaha, Nebraska. Started as a college class project on entrepreneurship, the label was founded by Mike Mogis and Justin Oberst in 1993 (as Lumberjack Records). Mogis soon turned over his role in the company to Robb Nansel. The label is named after Saddle Creek Road, a major street that cuts through Midtown Omaha, and the beginnings of a scene whose members included Justin's brother Conor Oberst (then a solo artist, currently of Bright Eyes, Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, Desaparecidos, and Monsters of Folk), Tim Kasher (then of Slowdown Virginia, currently of Cursive and The Good Life), and others. Metacritic is a website that review aggregator, aggregates reviews of films, TV shows, music albums, video games and formerly, books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted arithmetic mean, weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999. The site provides an excerpt from each review and hyperlinks to its source. A color of green, yellow or red summarizes the critics' recommendations. The saddle is a supportive structure for a rider of an animal, fastened to an animal's back by a girth. The most common type is equestrian. ''I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning'' is the sixth studio album by American band Bright Eyes, released on January 25, 2005 by Saddle Creek Records (the same day as their seventh album, ''Digital Ash in a Digital Urn''). The album will be reissued by Dead Oceans alongside a six-track companion EP on November 11, 2022. Songs The music video for " First Day of My Life" was directed by John Cameron Mitchell. This was the first Bright Eyes album to feature Nate Walcott, who is now a permanent member of the band. "Road to Joy" contains an interpolation of Beethoven's "Ode to Joy". The title of the album is taken from a lyric in this song. Bright Eyes is an American indie rock band founded by singer-songwriter and guitarist Conor Oberst. It consists of Oberst, multi-instrumentalist and producer Mike Mogis, arranger, composer and trumpet and piano player Nate Walcott, and a rotating line-up of collaborators drawn primarily from Omaha's indie music scene.
