Tom Lowe (performer)
Thomas Peter Lowe (born 23 April 1978, Stockport, England) is an English-born singer and actor. Personal life Tom Lowe was born in Stockport, England to his parents, Peter and Margaret Lowe. He grew up in the village of Mellor, on the outskirts of Stockport. He attended Mellor Primary School from 1982 to 1989 and Manchester Grammar School from 1989 to 1996, where he performed in many school plays. He sang in the church choir of St. Thomas's Mellor during his childhood and was runner up in the UK wide Choirboy of the Year competition while a chorister there. He also appeared on TV while at Primary school with fellow Mellor pupils on the children's show Umbrella, filmed at BBC Manchester. Stockport
Stockport is a town and borough in Greater Manchester, England, south-east of Manchester, south-west of Ashton-under-Lyne and north of Macclesfield. Founded in 1985 by a small group of undergraduates including future actor Mira Sorvino, The Harvard-Radcliffe Veritones are one of Harvard College’s contemporary, co-ed a cappella groups. Along with two performances every year in Sanders Theatre, they entertain at a variety of events on campus and in the greater Boston-New York area. They also compete in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, ICCA Northeast Quarterfinals and Semifinals, winning recognition for their arrangements, soloists, and choreography. Rum Tum Tugger is one of the many feline characters in the 1939 poetry book ''Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats'' by T. S. Eliot, and in the 1981 musical ''Cats'' which is based on Eliot's book. Rum Tum Tugger is a rebellious Jellicle cat who loves to be the center of attention. The role of Rum Tum Tugger was originated by Paul Nicholas on the West End in 1981, and by Terrence Mann on Broadway in 1982. Then, in the 1998 video production, he was performed by John Partridge.
