Tom Hickey (born 6 March 1991) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Gold Coast Suns, the St Kilda Football Club, and the West Coast Eagles. Early life Hickey was born into a Brisbane family in which his father, Mick, is a former professional rugby league footballer who played 10 years of A-grade rugby league for Fortitude Valley in the Brisbane Rugby League. While in primary school between the ages of six and fourteen, Hickey played rugby league for the Redland Rugby League Football Club in the position of five-eighth. The Morningside Australian Football Club, also known as the Morningside Panthers, is an Australian rules football club based at Jack Esplen Oval in the suburb of Hawthorne in Brisbane. The club consists of Masters, Amateurs, Women's, Junior and Senior football sections. Its senior team competed in the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL) competition from 2011 to 2013 and now is a member club of the Queensland Australian Football League. The Hawthorn Football Club, nicknamed the Hawks, is a professional Australian rules football club based in Mulgrave, Victoria, that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL). Ben “Big Boy” McEvoy (born 11 July 1989) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the St Kilda Football Club and Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early career McEvoy is an Australian Institute of Sport and AFL Academy graduate. He was an All-Australian selection in the NAB AFL Under 18 championships, averaging seven marks per game as a ruck/forward. Carrara Stadium (known commercially as Metricon Stadium) is a stadium on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, located in the suburb of Carrara. The stadium is primarily used for Australian rules football, serving as the home ground of the Gold Coast Suns, who compete in the Australian Football League. Trent Knobel
Trent Knobel (born 23 May 1980) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League. Knobel, a ruckman originally from the Gold Coast, was recruited to the AFL in his home state with the Brisbane Lions onto their rookie list. He made his debut in 2000 after a rookie elevation. After getting his chance in Round 14, Knobel held his spot for much of the season, and played in two finals matches. After a disappointing 2001 season, and with the Lions having an abundance of ruck stocks ( Keating, McLaren, McDonald, Macdonald among others), they traded him to St Kilda. After fairly limited seasons with the Saints in 2002 and 2003, his 2004 season was much improved, playing all 24 games and becoming the Saints' number one ruckman.
