Tom Flynn (Gaelic Footballer)
Tom Flynn (born ) is an Irish sportsperson. Flynn plays club football and hurling with Athenry and has played senior inter-county football for Galway since 2011. Flynn was a member of the Galway teams that won the All-Ireland Under-21 Football Championship in 2011 and 2013. He won the 2011 Cadbury's Hero of the Future award, receiving it at a ceremony at Croke Park. Connacht Senior Football Championship
The Connacht Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition for the senior county teams of Connacht GAA. All of the counties of Connacht participate in the championship, as well as counties London and New York. The winning team receives the Nestor Cup. The Connacht Senior Football Championship is run on a knock-out basis in which once a team loses they are eliminated from the competition. A series of games are played during the summer months and the final is played in June or July. The winner progresses directly to the All-Ireland Super 8s, while losing teams progress to the All-Ireland Qualifiers (before 2001 the All-Ireland was a straight knock-out format meaning all losing teams were eliminated after a single defeat). Ciarán Kilkenny (born 7 July 1993) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for the Dublin county team and as a dual player for his club Castleknock. He was previously on the playing list of Australian rules football club Hawthorn, as a rookie. He has featured on an advertising billboard campaign in India. Early life Kilkenny attended Scoil Oilibhéir in Clonsilla. Hurling Kilkenny represented Dublin at underage at several levels. Despite being previously offered a place on the Dublin senior hurling panel, he chose to dedicate his time solely to football. Kilkenny does, however, still play hurling for his club, Castleknock. Rory O'Carroll (born 30 November 1989) is a footballer and hurler with Dublin and Kilmacud Crokes. He lined out as the full back on the Dublin senior football team. The Connacht GAA Football Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Connacht Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Connacht Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county football competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Connacht. The Sigerson Cup is the trophy for the premier Gaelic football championship among Higher Education institutions (Universities, Colleges and Institutes of Technology) in Ireland. St. Mary's, Athenry is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Athenry in County Galway, Ireland. In men's competitions, the club is a dual club competing in both Gaelic football and hurling at various age levels. The club also competes in camogie competitions, and has won several county, province and national titles in the sport. History Athenry GAA club was founded in 1885.
