To Mistenkelige Personer
''To mistenkelige personer'' (Two Suspects) is a Norwegian crime drama from 1950 directed by Tancred Ibsen. The film is about the murder of two sheriffs in Norway and the subsequent hunt for the criminals. The script is based on Gunnar Larsen's 1933 novel ''To mistenkelige personer'' (Two Suspects). The novel is loosely based on a real incident that happened in Ådal in 1926. The film was banned from being shown in Norway for reasons of privacy. The verdict was upheld until the end of the 1990s. Background The film adaptation of the book is based on the true story of the sheriffs' murders at Vågård, an event that took place at Vågård in Ytre Ådal on August 22, 1926, when two sheriffs from Ringerike tried to arrest two safe blowers and robbers. Britta Lech-Hanssen (born Karin Anna Britta Ericsson; February 10, 1916 – February 22, 2007) was a Norwegian actress. Tancred Ibsen
Tancred Ibsen (11 July 1893 – 4 December 1978) was a Norwegian military officer, aviator, film director and screenwriter. Background Ibsen was the son of Sigurd Ibsen and Bergljot Bjørnson. He was the grandson of both Henrik Ibsen and Nobel laureate Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson. He married dancer and actress Lillebil Ibsen in 1919, and remained married to her until his death in 1978. His son Tancred Ibsen, Jr. (1921–2015) was a Norwegian diplomat. Anne Lise Ryel (born 7 June 1958) is a Norwegian jurist and politician for the Labour Party. Born in Tromsø, she graduated as cand.jur. from the University of Oslo in 1987. Conrad Eugen Skjønberg (March 27, 1889 – July 25, 1971) was a Norwegian actor. Eugen Skjønberg was married to the actress Henny Skjønberg. They resided at Ramstad. He was the father of Per Skjønberg, Pål Skjønberg, and Espen Skjønberg, and the grandfather of Hennika Skjønberg, Siv Skjønberg, and Jo Skjønberg, all of whom were actors and actresses. Merete Skavlan
Merete Skavlan (25 July 1920 – 2 November 2018) was a Norwegian actress, theater instructor and director. She was born in Kristiania as a daughter of newspaper editor and theatre director Einar Skavlan and music educator Margrethe Bartholdy. She was a granddaughter of literary historian Olaf Skavlan. She was involved in resistance work during World War II, and joined the unofficial " Stanislavskij Group" in 1943. Gunnar Julius Skar (July 5, 1923 – October 12, 2012) was a Norwegian actor and theater director. Arvid Nilssen (25 December 1913 – 24 March 1976) was a Norwegian actor, revue artist and singer. He was regarded as one of the leading comedians in Norwegian revue.
