Tipraland State Party
Tipraland State Party (TSP) was a regional political party in Tripura, India. TSP beliefs relate to Tripuri nationalism, social reformation, and revolution for the Tripuri nation. The main demand of the party is to elevate Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council to Tipraland statehood under Article 3 of the Indian Constitution. TSP used to be active in the Indigenous Tripuri areas of Tripura between 2015 to 2021. Tripuri Nationalism
Tripuri Nationalism is an ideology that supports self-determination by the Tripuri people. The conflict is in essence ethnic and the Tripuri community, indigenous to the region formed the clear majority of population in the princely state of Tippera, which joined the Republic of India in 1949 as the state of Tripura. The issue has led to a number of armed uprisings and Insurgency in Tripura. There was a rebellion in 1950, and armed conflict continued to erupt in the 1980s to 2000s. Since 1989, the armed rebellion was mostly led by the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) and the All Tripura Tiger Force ATTF). Tipraland
Tipraland is the name of a proposed state in India for the indigenous Tripuri people in the tribal areas of the Tripura state. They demand the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council and some surrounding areas to be made into a separate state from Tripura. The proposed state covers 68% of the total geographical area of the Tripura and is home to over one-third of the total population of Tripura. There is also a demand for a "Greater Tipraland" by adding Tripuris dominant areas outside the TTAADC and creation of development council for Tripuris living in other Indian states. The Tipra Motha Party (TMP), also known as the Tipraha Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance, is a regional political party and previously a social organization in Tripura, India.
