Tiombe Lockhart
Tiombe Lockhart is an American singer-songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. She is a former member of Cubic Zirconia. Early life Lockhart was born in Atlanta, Georgia. At the age of 12 she moved to Los Angeles and completed the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. In 1997 she settled in New York City where she graduated from the New School University with the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Jazz Performance diploma. Career In the early 2000s she performed at various East Coast venues, often as a support for Bilal. After collaborating with MCs from the Living Legends group ( The Grouch, Eligh and Scarub), she began co-operating with the Platinum Pied Pipers. Tiombe was featured on three songs from the group's '' Triple P'' album, which attracted positive reviews and press coverage. Eligh
Eli Nathan Nachowitz (born February 28, 1978), better known as Eligh, is an American rapper and producer from Los Angeles. He is a member of the underground hip hop group Living Legends. Biography Eligh's inspiration for making hip hop music came in the mid 1980s from the film ''Beat Street'' and LL Cool J's "I'm Bad." In high school, he co-founded the hip hop duo Boogalu Badboys with Scarub. When they crossed paths with another rapper Murs, the three formed 3 Melancholy Gypsys (3MG). Eligh then moved from Los Angeles up north to the Bay Area, where he met The Grouch, which ultimately led to 3MG's incorporation into Living Legends. ''York'' (originally titled ''NoYork!'') is the second studio album by American rapper Blu. The album was initially leaked during the Rock The Bells tour in August 2011, and officially released in 2013. Background Blu was still under contract with Sire/Warner Bros in 2011, but as the LA Times noted "the slashing collection of songs was nowhere near commercial enough to ever see major label release". A few weeks later, Barnes was released from his Sire/Warner Bros. contract, although demo copies were pressed. Later officially released through New World Color on March 26, 2013. Robert O'Bryant, also known as Waajeed is a Detroit-born music producer, and one half of the hip hop and R&B group Platinum Pied Pipers, and a founding member of Tiny Hearts. He formed the Bling47 record label in 2002, which has released projects by J Dilla, Waajeed himself, and others. Since 2013, he has preferred the name Jeedo. Biography Background Before producing records, Waajeed studied art and DJed in and around the Detroit music circuit. Platinum Pied Pipers
Platinum Pied Pipers is a Detroit-based hip hop and R&B group composed of producer Waajeed (Robert O'Bryant), and multi-instrumentalist Saadiq (Darnell Bolden, not to be confused with Raphael Saadiq). Their music usually features a rotating and varied array of artists. Background The two met through rapper Baatin in 1992. Sometime in 2000, they decided to form a duo and began releasing 12"s and mixtapes. It was their collaboration with Dwele in 2003, however, called "Ridin' High" which caught the ears of music listeners, and set the stage for a full-length album. The pair have a rather distinctive mixture of sounds as, although Waajeed is primarily a hip hop producer, Saadiq is a protégé of Motown producer Barrett Strong, making for a finely tuned middleground. Corey Scoffern (born May 20, 1975), better known by his stage name The Grouch, is an American rapper and producer. He is currently based in Maui, Hawaii, but grew up and spent most of his time in the San Francisco Bay Area (specifically Oakland, California). He is a founding member of Living Legends, an underground hip hop collective based in Los Angeles, California.
