Time Bomb (Buckcherry Album)
''Time Bomb'' is the second studio album by American rock band Buckcherry. It was produced by John Travis and released on March 27, 2001, by DreamWorks Records. It is the band's first album as a five-piece as guitarist Yogi Lonich joined the band. It is the only album to feature him and is the last album to feature the original lineup, as drummer Devon Glenn and bassist Jonathan Brightman both departed the group after its release. It is also their final release on Dreamworks. Release and reception The album spawned two singles, "Ridin'" and "Slit My Wrists". The lyrics are sleazier and more sordid than on the band's first album, suggesting considerable rock n' roll excess within the band at the time. The bonus track (untitled on the sleeve, but officially called "Open My Eyes") suggests an end to this due to a successful relationship. Ridin' (Buckcherry Song)
"Ridin'" is a song by American rapper Chamillionaire featuring fellow American rapper Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, released on November 12, 2005, as the second single from his debut studio album ''The Sound of Revenge'' (2005). Produced by hip hop producer Play-N-Skillz, the song's lyrics discuss racial profiling and police brutality, in addition to the stereotyping of African Americans driving a vehicle with drugs and other contraband on the inside (riding dirty). Music video The music video shows police officers abusing their powers, though Chamillionaire does admit to various crimes, including DWI and prostitution. He juxtaposes police actions with wrestling scenes to show how the police allegedly treat suspects. Seth Edward Putnam (May 15, 1968 – June 11, 2011) was an American musician who was the founder, vocalist and occasional guitarist of grindcore band Anal Cunt. He was known for his high-pitched screamed vocals and lyrics that either shock, offend, or invoke morbid humor. Throughout his career, Putnam was also involved in numerous side projects. Anal Cunt, also known as AxCx and A.C., was an American grindcore band that formed in Newton, Massachusetts, in 1988. From its inception, the band underwent a number of line-up changes and never had a bass player. The band, known for its flippant and noisy musical style as well as controversial lyrics, released eight full-length studio albums in addition to a number of compilations and extended plays. Joshua Todd Gruber (born April 4, 1970), known professionally as Josh Todd, is an American musician, singer, songwriter and actor, best known as the lead singer of the American rock band Buckcherry. Background Josh Todd grew up in Anaheim Hills, California, and later moved to Lake Forest, California. He attended high school at Trabuco Hills High School in Orange County, California, and graduated in 1989. Prior to his days in Buckcherry, Todd fronted the Hollywood glam rock band Slamhound. Slamhound was signed to Skydoor Records, an independent record company that was unsuccessful in releasing a Slamhound album even though the band recorded over a dozen songs with Todd as the lead singer.
