Tim Grundy
Timothy Grundy (4 July 1958 – 1 February 2009) was an English television and radio presenter. He was born in Manchester, Lancashire. Biography Grundy was born to a Scottish mother and Bill Grundy, the broadcaster remembered for his expletive-filled interview with the Sex Pistols. In 1975, at the age of 17, Tim began work as a coffee boy at Piccadilly Radio in Manchester and over the next 14 years he rose to become the station's breakfast show presenter, and later, its Programme Controller. In September 1988, he was the first presenter on air upon the launch of Key 103 (now 'Hits Radio'). He was a journalist, whose folksy relaxed style made him a popular television presenter, where he worked predominantly for the Discovery Channel and other satellite broadcasting companies. Ufton Nervet Rail Crash
The Ufton Nervet rail crash was a collision between a train and car on a level crossing near Ufton Nervet, Berkshire, England, in 2004. Seven people, including the drivers of the train and the car, were killed. An inquest found that the crash was caused by the suicide of the car driver. Four further fatal incidents occurred on the level crossing between 2004 and 2014. In 2016, a road bridge replaced the level crossing. Collision On 6 November 2004 at 18:12 GMT, the 17:35 service from to , an InterCity 125 (HST) led by a Class 43 power car (43019) collided with a stationary Mazda 323 at an automatic level crossing close to the rural West Berkshire village of Ufton Nervet. The inquest concluded that the crash was caused by Brian Drysdale, a chef at Wokefield Park Hotel away, committing suicide by parking his car on the crossing. Ufton Nervet is a village and civil parish in West Berkshire, England centred west southwest of the large town of Reading and 7 miles east of Thatcham. Ufton Nervet has an elected civil parish council. Geography Ufton Nervet is a strip parish about long and up to wide, running roughly north-northwest – south-southeast between the Kennet valley and the crest of low hills in its south. It is bounded to the north by the A4 road, to the south by a minor road linking Burghfield and Tadley, and to the west and east by a mixture of field boundaries and minor roads. It includes a section of the River Kennet, the Kennet Navigation and the railway between Reading and Taunton. Lancashire
Lancashire ( , ; abbreviated Lancs) is the name of a historic county, ceremonial county, and non-metropolitan county in North West England. The boundaries of these three areas differ significantly.
