''Thrice Resurrected'' (russian: Трижды воскресший) is a 1960 Soviet drama film directed by Leonid Gaidai. Plot In 1919, a group of Komsomol members were sent on a tugboat to fight with the White Guards. During the Battle of the Volga people used this ship to transport wounded soldiers and children. And now the pioneers and Komsomol members of the Volga decide to make repairs on the ship and go on it on a journey. Leonid Iovich Gaidai (russian: Леонид Иович Гайдай; 30 January 1923 – 19 November 1993) was a Soviet and Russian comedy film director, screenwriter and actor who enjoyed immense popularity and broad public recognition in the former Soviet Union. Biography Early life and education Nikolai Nikolayevich Rybnikov was born on 13 December 1930 in Borisoglebsk, Voronezh Oblast. His father Nikolai Nikolayevich, was a factory fitter and his mother, Klavdiya Aleksandrovna, a housewife. He also had a brother, Vyacheslav. With the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, Rybnikov the elder went to the front, and the mother took her sons and moved to Stalingrad to her sister, believing that it would be safe there. But from the front they received news of the death of his father. Soon after receiving the tragic news, Klavdiya Aleksandrovna also died.
