Thomas Larsen (bowler)
Thomas Larsen (born 18 November 1989) is a Danish professional ten-pin bowler competing on the PBA Tour, World Bowling Tour and European Bowling Tour. He has won three titles on the PBA Tour (including one major championship) and five titles on the EBT, having been the EBT rankings winner in 2014. He represented Europe at the 2020 and 2021 Weber Cup events. Larsen's first two PBA Tour titles came in international events, at the 2013 Abu Dhabi World Bowling Tour championship and the 2014 Kuwait International Open. On 4 April 2021, Larsen won his first PBA major title at the USBC Masters in Reno, Nevada. Qualifying as the #2 seed, he defeated American Spencer Robarge in the semifinal match, then defeated top seed Jesper Svensson of Sweden in an all-Scandinavia final match, 197–176. Based on points earned through the first nine events of the 2021 PBA season, Larsen qualified as the #9 seed for the PBA Tour Playoffs. Kyle Troup
Kyle Troup (born June 11, 1991) is an American professional ten-pin bowler residing in Taylorsville, North Carolina. He uses the two-handed shovel-style delivery with a dominant right hand. Troup says he needed two hands when learning to throw the ball as a young child, calling himself self-taught in that regard. Troup has been a member of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) since 2008, and began completing full-time on the PBA Tour in 2015. He won his first national PBA Tour title at the 2015 PBA Wolf Open and has nine PBA Tour titles to date, including one major championship and two wins in the PBA Playoffs. Since 2018, Troup also competes internationally as a member of Team USA. With his $100,000 win at the PBA Playoffs on May 16, 2021, Troup set the PBA's single-season earnings record with $469,200, surpassing the $419,700 earned by Walter Ray Williams Jr. in the 2002–03 season. Dominic Simon Barrett (often called Dom Barrett) (born 30 July 1985 in Cambridge, England) is one of England's leading ten-pin bowlers. He competes in world events and on the PBA Tour, where he has won ten titles. This total includes three PBA major titles: the PBA World Championship (2013), the U.S. Open (2018) and the Tournament of Champions (2022), which makes him the eighth triple crown winner in PBA history and the first European player to accomplish the feat. Mika Juhani Koivuniemi (born 6 April 1967) is a Finnish bowling coach and semi-retired professional ten-pin bowler. He competed on the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) tour in the United States, and won bowling titles in 21 different countries during his career. He is a two-time PBA Player of the Year (2003–04 and 2010–11 seasons), one of only three players born outside the USA (with Amleto Monacelli and Jason Belmonte) to win that award. Koivuniemi is the second international player (after Monacelli) and first European ever elected to the PBA Hall of Fame; he was inducted in 2019. He is also a member of the World Bowling Writers Hall of Fame and Finland Bowling Hall of Fame. The PBA Tour Playoffs is an annual invitational event on the PBA Tour in North America that debuted in the 2019 season. After two years as a 24-player tournament, the event has been set up in a 16-player bracket-style format since 2021. Ten-pin bowling is a type of bowling in which a bowler rolls a bowling ball down a wood or synthetic lane toward ten pins positioned evenly in four rows in an equilateral triangle. The objective is to knock down all ten pins on the first roll of the ball (a strike), or failing that, on the second roll (a spare).
