Thomas Kyparissis
Thomas Kyparissis ( el, Θωμάς Κυπαρίσσης; born 26 March 1970) is a Greek retired football player. He was a striker, who scored more than 150 goals in his entire career. He was a key player for AEL during the club's hard try to make it back to the first division from the third division from 2003 to 2005, and he continued to serve the team for two more seasons. Due to his strong mentality and passion, he was nicknamed "Psychara" (Big Soul) from Larissa's fans. From January 2007 he returned at his very first professional club and the team of his hometown, Pierikos. He retired a year later. Katerini
Katerini ( el, Κατερίνη, ''Kateríni'', ) is a city and municipality in northern Greece, the capital city of Pieria regional unit in Central Macedonia, Greece. It lies on the Pierian plain, between Mt. Olympus and the Thermaikos Gulf, at an altitude of 14 m. The municipal unit of Katerini has a population of 85,851 (according to the 2014 census) and it is the second most populous urban area at the Region of Macedonia after Thessaloniki. Xanthi F
Xanthi ( el, Ξάνθη, ''Xánthi'', ) is a city in the region of Western Thrace, northeastern Greece. It is the capital of the Xanthi regional unit of the region of East Macedonia and Thrace. Pierikos
S.F.K. Pierikos ( el, Σ.Φ.Κ. Πιερικός) is a Greek football club based in Katerini, Greece, part of the major multi-sport club of the same name. Their name was inspired from the State's name of Pieria. The club recently competed in the Super League 2 2021–22, at the Northern Group and got relegated to Gamma Ethniki. History of the club The foundation The club was founded on 11 April 1961 from the merger between Megas Alexandros (meaning Alexander the Great) Katerinis and Olympos Katerinis. Megas Alexandros had played in the 1st Division of Greek football in its first season ( 1959–60) but finished in the 15th position and thus relegated in the 2nd Division. The Gamma Ethniki ( el, Γ΄ Εθνική Ερασιτεχνική Κατηγορία, C National Amateur Division) is the third highest football league in Greece. AEL Football Club ( el, ΠΑΕ ΑΕΛ), also known by its full name Athlitiki Enosi Larissas ( el, Αθλητική Ένωση Λάρισας, translation=Athletic Union of Larissa), simply called AEL or Larissa, is a Greek professional football club based in the city of Larissa, capital of Greece's Thessaly region.
