Thomas Jäger
Thomas Jäger (born 27 October 1976) is a German professional racing driver. Career Born in Chemnitz, Jäger competed in the Renault Eurocup, Renault Spider Trophy in 1997.http://www.driverdb.com/drivers/407/career/ Career statistics at Driver Database He began competing in the German Formula Three Championship in 1998, where he finished third behind Christijan Albers and Marcel Fässler (racing driver), Marcel Fässler in 1999. Jäger was signed by Hotfiel Sport for their World Touring Car Championship campaign in 2005, although Jäger left after four rounds. 2000 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters Season
The 2000 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters was the fourteenth season of premier German touring car championship and also first season under the moniker of Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters since the original series' demise in 1996. Nine events were held with two 40-minute races at each racing weekend. Pre-Season This was the resurrected DTM's first season since the cancellation of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft at the end of 1996. Mercedes-Benz in motorsport, Mercedes returned to the series after their unfortunate Mercedes-Benz CLR, CLR Le Mans project along with H.W.A GmbH and Mercedes-AMG, AMG. They were joined by Opel, who brought along the Holzer, Phoenix, Irmscher and Euroteam from the German Super Touring Championship (STW) where they had raced in 1999. Bernd Schneider (born 20 July 1964) is a German racing driver. He is a five-time Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters champion, and a Mercedes Brand Ambassador. Career Early years Schneider was named after legendary driver Bernd Rosemeyer, winner of the 1936 European Drivers' Championship. Introduced to karting at an early age, he displayed an obvious talent for racing. After several years in the junior kart series, Schneider won the 1980 German Kart championship. Two years later, he would win the 1982 European Kart championship with the national team. In 1983, he won the African kart championship. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG (C197 / R197) is a front mid-engine, 2-seater, limited production grand tourer developed by the Mercedes-AMG division of German automotive manufacturer Mercedes-Benz, with the assistance of David Coulthard. Mount Panorama Circuit is a motor racing track located in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. It is situated on Mount Panorama (Wahluu) and is best known as the home of the Bathurst 1000 motor race held each October, and the Bathurst 12 Hour event held each February. The track is a long street circuit, which is used as a public road when no racing events are being run, with many residences which can only be accessed from the circuit. The 2013 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour was an endurance race for a variety of GT and touring car classes, including: GT3 cars, GT4 cars, Group 3E Series Production Cars and Dubai 24 Hour cars. Hotfiel Sport
Hotfiel Sport was an auto racing team based in Kirchlengern, Germany. In 2005 they ran two Ford Focus cars in the inaugural 2005 FIA World Touring Car Championship under the Ford Hotfiel Sport banner. The cars were built by Ford Team RS and competed as a manufacturer entry due to support from Ford. The team started its WTCC campaign with two home-grown drivers, Thomas Klenke and Thomas Jäger. After missing out on round five at Puebla in Mexico, Jäger was replaced in the team by fellow German driver Michael Funke. For the final round in Macau, Klenke was replaced by test driver Patrick Bernhardt who had previous experience of the circuit. Marcel Fässler (born 27 May 1976) is a Swiss retired racing driver. From 2010 to 2016 he competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship as part of Audi Sport Team Joest with co-drivers André Lotterer and Benoît Tréluyer, winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times (2011, 2012, and 2014) and capturing the World Endurance Drivers' Championship in 2012.
