The Zanzibar
The Zanzibar is a live music venue located on Seel Street in Liverpool, England, best known for being the home of regular clubnights such as "The Bandwagon" and "Valhalla", among others. Unlike most clubs in Liverpool, the music is generally rock and alternative. The venue tends to specialise in unsigned bands, unlike the larger East Village Arts Club (previously known as Liverpool Barfly and later Masque Theatre) located on the opposite side of the road. Sisteray are a British four-piece rock band from London, UK. Formed in 2015, the band consists of Niall Rowan (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Michael Hanrahan (bass/vocals), Daniel Connolly (lead guitar/vocals) and George Greenhalgh (drums). Liverpool Sound City
Liverpool Sound City is an annual music festival and industry conference in Liverpool, England. Founded in 2008 by Dave Pichilingi (also founder of Modern Sky UK), Sound City was located in Liverpool City Centre venues, such as The Kazimier, The Zanzibar and the Liverpool Cathedral, until 2015 when it was relocated to Bramley-Moore Dock in Liverpool's historic docklands. In 2015, the festival took place on Friday 22 May – Sunday 24 May, with headliners The Vaccines, The Flaming Lips and Belle and Sebastian and an array of artists including, Everything Everything, Peace and The Cribs. Thomas Timothy Vernon-Kell (born 10 May 1981) is an English self-taught multi-instrumentalist musician who works under the name of Tom Vek. Career Born in Hounslow, London, England, he signed to the small label Tummy Touch Records in 2001, having spent the previous eight years writing and recording in his parents' garage. Vek's debut album ''We Have Sound'' was recorded whilst he completed a graphic design degree. Shack are an English band formed in Liverpool, England in 1987. Originally Shack consisted of Mick Head (vocals and guitar), his brother John Head (guitar), Justin Smith ( bass) and Mick Hurst (drums). The Soundtrack of Our Lives, often abbreviated T.S.O.O.L., was a Swedish Rock music, rock band that formed in Gothenburg in 1995 and disbanded in 2012. Edgar William Jones (born 4 December 1970), also known as Edgar Summertyme, is an English singer-songwriter and musician. Jones was originally the bass player and singer-songwriter for the Stairs and has since formed and fronted the Isrites, The Big Kids, Edgar Jones & the Joneses and Free Peace.
