The Suicide File
The Suicide File was an American hardcore punk band from Boston that formed in April 2001. The band wrote songs with a mostly political message, although many songs also dealt with social and personal problems. Most of the band's output was released on the Southern California-based hardcore label Indecision Records. The band reunited in June 2006 to embark on their first European Tour. Members of the bands are or have been affiliated with The Hope Conspiracy, Death By StereoWhen Tigers Fight Adamantium, Give Up the Ghost/American Nightmare, Clouds, Panic and many more. Most of these are bands with whom Alexander has drummed for short periods of time. Dave Weinberg was also known for his frequent collaborations and duets with Julie Ecker and James "Boom Boom" Auclair (cf. unpublished correspondence with the artists). Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Its roots can be traced to earlier punk scenes in San Francisco and Southern California which arose as a reaction against the still predominant hippie cultural climate of the time. It was also inspired by Washington D.C. and New York punk rock and early proto-punk. Death By Stereo
Death by Stereo (also referred to as D.B.S.) is an American hardcore punk band formed in Orange County, California circa 1998 by frontman Efrem Schulz. They are well known for their energetic performances and intricate guitar work. Their name can be attributed to the 1987 horror film ''The Lost Boys,'' in which Corey Haim speaks the line. Death by Stereo has released seven full-length studio albums and one live album. Their most recent studio album, ''We're All Dying Just in Time'', was released in 2020. Jarrod Alexander
Jarrod Fletcher Alexander (born August 13, 1981) is an American musician who has played with many hardcore punk bands. Alexander has been the drummer for the bands The Suicide File, A Static Lullaby, Dead Country, and more recently, My Chemical Romance, Alkaline Trio, Matt Skiba, Meg Myers, and Necessary Noise. Early life Alexander started playing the drums in his early teens. Alexander went to the prestigious Berklee College of Music and graduated in 2003. Bands Alexander has played the drums for several bands throughout his career. He was the original drummer for Death By Stereo, who appeared on the band's first album '' If Looks Could Kill, I'd Watch You Die''. He left the band in 2000, but rejoined it in 2006 to record a new album. He performed drums on the American Nightmare album ''Background Music''. Pure Love (band)
Pure Love was an English-American rock band formed in 2011 by former Gallows frontman Frank Carter and ex-The Hope Conspiracy and Suicide File guitarist Jim Carroll, after Carter's departure from Gallows due to "creative differences". The band's musical style was a marked change from the hardcore punk backgrounds of the members. History Frank Carter had made his name in the punk scene with the Hemel Hempstead/Watford-based band Gallows, who were known for their intense live shows. On the back of their success with debut album '' Orchestra of Wolves'', the band signed a £1 million deal with Warner Bros. The deal lasted only 18 months before they were dropped, releasing just one album on the label: 2009's ''Grey Britain''. Carter played his last show with Gallows in August 2011.
